August reminder: summer is not over yet, and the heat is still very real for your pets. 🌞

A few things to keep top of mind this month:

1. Walk before 8 am or after 7 pm when pavement cools down
2. Fresh cold water available at all times, inside and out
3. Never leave your pet in a parked car, even for a quick errand
4. Heavy panting, drooling, or lethargy? Call us or your nearest Veterinarian!

Back-to-school season is here, and your pets will feel it. 🎒🐾

When the house suddenly gets quiet during the day, pets can experience anxiety and behavioral changes.

Here is what to watch for and what to do:

1. Keep feeding and walk times consistent even on school days
2. Leave a worn piece of clothing near their bed so your scent stays close
3. Increase alone time gradually before school starts so the transition is not a shock
4. Watch for excessive barking, accidents indoors, or destructive behavior

Traveling with your pet this summer? Do not leave without checking these off your list. 🌍

1. Verify their microchip and ID tag info are current. This is the number one thing owners forget.
2. Pack extra medication. Bring enough for the trip plus 2 buffer days.
3. Research pet-friendly rest stops along your route ahead of time.
4. Keep a photo of your vaccination records on your phone. Many pet-friendly hotels require them.
