Part dog. Part shark. 100% unstoppable. 🦈💦

Dog life jackets aren't just adorable, they're genuinely important for water safety, especially for breeds that aren't strong swimmers or dogs that are new to the water.

If your pup is hitting the pool, lake, or boat this summer, a properly fitted life vest is a must! 🙌

Stop in and we can help you find the right fit before summer gets into full swing.

🌽 Axel's Corn Cob Adventure 🌽

Unfortunately for Axel, corn wasn't just on the menu... the cob was too. 😬

Axel came to see us after he began vomiting every time he drank water, was unable to have a bowel movement, and wasn't acting like his usual energetic self.

After x-rays and a discussion with his owner, we discovered the culprit: a corn cob lodged in his intestines.

Dr. Fatora took Axel to surgery and successfully removed the corn cob along with a small section of unhealthy bowel that had been damaged by the obstruction. We're happy to report that Axel is now on the road to recovery! ❤️

🚨 Intestinal blockages are a life-threatening emergency and can happen when pets swallow things they shouldn't.

Signs of an intestinal obstruction may include:
🔹 Persistent vomiting
🔹 Inability to defecate
🔹 Refusing food or water
🔹 Tender or painful abdomen
🔹 Lethargy
🔹 Swollen abdomen

Remember: pets don't always make the best life choices. If it fits in their mouth, there's a good chance they'll at least consider eating it! 🤦‍♀️

Keeping tempting items out of reach and closely supervising your pets can help prevent emergencies like Axel's.

If your pet is showing any of the signs above, don't wait. Early diagnosis and treatment can make all the difference.

Please join us in wishing Axel a speedy recovery! 🐾❤️

Sunny days, fresh grass, and a ball within reach. This is living. 🙌

June was practically made for afternoons like this one. Your dog doesn't need much to have the best day ever, and that's honestly one of the best things about them. 🐾

🐾 Dr. Hyler-Both Update 🐾

We know many of our clients and community members have continued to ask about Dr. Hyler-Both, so we wanted to share a little update with everyone.

The good news is — she is steadily improving every single day and is VERY eager to get back to work. (Probably a little *too* eager, if you ask her therapists. 😅)

She is currently working hard in both OT and PT and learning one of life’s hardest lessons: patience. As many of you know, slowing down and taking “baby steps” is not exactly Dr. Hyler-Both’s natural personality trait, but she is doing her best to trust the process and give herself grace during recovery.

Most importantly, she thanks the Lord every day that she still has a chance to continue doing what she loves.

While everyone here has been working a little harder without her, this experience has truly reinforced the importance of teamwork and collaboration. We are incredibly thankful for our amazing staff and wonderful relief veterinarians who have helped us maintain coverage and continue caring for our patients during this time.

We also want to sincerely thank our clients, friends, and community members who have sent cards, checked in on her, visited her and those who help her in prayer.

Your kindness and support have meant more than words can express.

Dr. Hyler-Both is looking forward to returning — gradually — and we know she will appreciate seeing all of her patients and clients again soon. Until then, we will continue cheering her on through every milestone… even if she’s trying to speed-run physical therapy. 😉

Thank you all again for your continued support.
