This sweet boy is named Mousse. He is the largest of the litter by a full half pound, so he is a moose, plus he resembles a chocolate mousse swirled with a bit of whipped cream, and he is as sweet as the dessert so it fit.
This kitten comes from two regional winning parents, our Breed winning supreme grand champion, Rocky, and Quaduple Grand Champion, Windy. He will be outstanding in type and is already way ahead of the curve in temperament.
Chocolate solids are my highest requested color, so it's rare when I have one available to leave as a pet.

These beautiful pdf printable awards and a some titles to make your cats names longer. 😂🤣

However, what you learn through showing is invaluable. The goal in breeding is to preserve the breed and to improve your own lines. The only way to do this properly is to understand the breed standard and do your best to produce cats that fit that standard. You test your knowledge and understanding by what you present as your best to the judges. If your cat does well you're on the right track. If they don't, you try to fix issues by selective pairing so the next generation might do better. I'm 8 generations in and still working to improve my lines. Type and temperament are judged at shows, while health is judged by dna and time. To preserve a breed these all need to align. It's always a work in progress, but generation by generation we move the breed forward.

These awards mean the world to me because they are a testament to my hard work and dedication to the breed. While some may never understand the true value of the posted awards above, I will be forever greatful to the judges who finaled my cats and kittens and made those award possible.

And it was worth every penny invested!

One more baby boy from Rocky and Breezy. His neuter went well today and this chocolate mink mitted little guy will be ready for his new family in about a week. He is going to live with a sibling and they are so excited to reunite these brothers. 😃

One last baby from Ivy's litter. She is just getting over a cold so I debated posting her yet as she still doesn't look 100%, but she is doing so much better. She is the smallest of the 5 but she doesn't let her sisters push her around. She's a spunky and sweet little Chocolate girl.
