Vet Tech & Shelter Technician Appreciation Week!!!

This week, we celebrate the amazing shelter technicians who show up every day to care for the animals who need us most!
From feeding and cleaning to providing medical care, comfort, and lots of love, shelter techs do so much behind the scenes to make sure every animal feels safe, cared for, and loved. They work through the tough days, celebrate the little victories, and give their hearts to animals who can’t always tell us what they need.
The work isn’t always easy, but the compassion, dedication, patience, and hard work of our shelter technicians make a world of difference in the lives of the animals we serve.

To our shelter techs: THANK YOU! Thank you for being their voice, their comfort, their caregivers, and their champions. Your work matters more than you know, and every paw print you leave on a life makes a difference. ~ JCACC Director & Officers

Help us show our shelter technicians some extra love and appreciation this week! Drop a ❤ in the comments to celebrate these incredible animal care heroes!

COMMUNITY ALERT: PHONE SCAM WARNING

Jessamine County Animal Care and Control has recently received several calls from community members reporting that someone is posing as a staff member and requesting money over the phone to provide medical care for a lost animal.

PLEASE BE AWARE: THIS IS NOT HOW WE OPERATE.

We will never ask you to make a payment over the phone for this type of situation.

We are not able to provide the medical treatment these callers are claiming to offer.

If a dog or cat requires medical attention, we transport the animal to a licensed veterinary office. Any payment for treatment would be made directly to that veterinary office.

We want to make sure our community members are informed and protected from these scams. If you receive a suspicious call like this, please do not send money or share your financial information.

Please share this post to help spread the word and protect others in our community!

Thank you for helping us keep Jessamine County's people and pets safe!

We Need Your Help! Kitten & Dog Supply Wishlist!

With the current surplus of kittens coming into our care, we are in desperate need of a few supplies to help us continue caring for all these little ones!

If anyone is able and would like to donate, we would be incredibly grateful! Our current most-needed items are:

For Our Kittens:
Miracle Ni***es for bottle-feeding our tiniest babies
KMR (Kitten Milk Replacer) for our little ones who aren't old enough to eat on their own
Wet kitten food for our growing babies

For Our Dogs:
Soft dog treats
Wet dog food

These supplies go quickly, and donations help us keep providing the care, nourishment, and love these animals deserve. Every little bit makes a difference!

We know not everyone can donate, and that's okay! Sharing this post helps us reach more people who may be able to lend a hand.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support us and the animals in our care. We truly couldn't do it without our amazing community!
