Let’s Focus on Friday!
Weaves that Wow! for beginners and young dogs
August 28, 2026 :: 6-9pm :: Pets Behave, Niceville, Florida

For this workshop, dogs can learn to drive through the poles using the channel method, can learn how to hit their entries with the 2 x 2 method and can work on their footing with the weavamatic method. All are good and will help your dog get a better understanding of this very challenging agility obstacle.

While this workshop will be focusing on young/beginner dogs, more experienced dogs can gain speed and accuracy by playing in all of the different methods.

BEAT THE HEAT!

By popular request we have added an early morning Saturday Agility Foundations Class.

This foundations class introduces dogs and their owners to the basic fundamentals of agility. You and your dog will learn targeting skills that will help your dog move towards something and away from you, the importance of teamwork as well as groundwork for fun and fitness. Dogs will be introduced to planks and agility “contacts” that will help build confidence as the dogs learn to get on and maneuver on/around/off. This is a great foundation class that is ideal for any discipline — not just agility.

You will learn and practice:

Targeting skills
Obedience exercises; sit/stays, quick recalls, attention
Impulse control games
Reinforce food and toy drive
Handler Footwork using cones
Back-end / body awareness, plank work
Warm-up and cool down exercises
Tricks for Agility, timing and reward placement
Crate training
