Some goodbyes are best expressed through music. ❤️

We’re remembering Odie, a beloved member of the Halleck Creek Ranch family who spent many years bringing connection, character, and a little bit of his own opinionated personality to our community.

From his days as an eventer and member of the UC Davis Hunter/Jumper team to his years supporting our riders and participants, Odie made a lasting impact. In retirement, he continued his work in our ground-based programs at RockRose Ranch, where he found a quieter pace of life and a special companion in Pony Tina.

Odie knew what he liked, wasn’t shy about sharing his opinions, and left his mark on the people and horses who knew him.

In this video, Jacob shares a special moment with Odie through song, a beautiful reminder of the bonds that make Halleck Creek Ranch so special.

Rest peacefully, Odie. Thank you for all the memories, the connection, and the love you gave. You will be deeply missed. 🤍

We are still basking in the glow of honoring Tuli Dowers. 🤩

It was a pleasure to meet Tuli and her family and present this talented young rider our annual Sliver Buckle Honoree Award. If you missed our presentation at Buckles and Bling, check out this video we made to share with our audience. Tuli couldn't attend our fundraiser live but did get to receive her buckle in person in Reno, NV where she was competing at the Snaffle Bit Futurity.

✨ One week ago, we gathered at Rancho Nicasio for an unforgettable evening at Buckles and Bling and what a night it was!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, donors, volunteers, vendors, event partners, staff, and everyone who gave their time and talent, Buckles & Bling had another successful year! We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this special evening possible and to everyone who showed up to celebrate the people, horses, programs, and place that make Halleck Creek Ranch so special.

We’re not quite ready to share the final numbers just yet, but we can say this: our community showed up in a big way. Thank you for helping us continue breaking barriers and creating life without barriers.

And a special thank-you to Norah Joy Photography. We’re grateful to be able to share her incredible photos in this recap. Many more photos/videos to come!

Here’s a look back at an amazing night. 🤎🐴
