Got a chance to go handle some fish outside of the tanks today. This monster female brown trout put up a great fight and displayed some pretty stunning colors! After a quick picture she was back in the water and off in a flash no worse for wear!

Our angels can be good parents when they want to be. Here you can see the fanning of the eggs, the creation of water movement over the eggs helps discourage bacteria. This is the action we try to emulate with airstones in a hatching tank.

It's time for the weekly update on our planted tank! The ludwigia is going insane sprawling across the surface! The jungle Val has a few blades reaching the surface now as well. The hair grass is still growing fast and has started to spread rather than grow tall. The large sword is continuing to send out runners and is forming even more new plants. The centerpiece red tiger lotus is enormous, and has more leaves every time we look at it! This tank is growing so fast we can only guess what it will look like next week!

It's time for the weekly update on our planted tank! The ludwigia is touching the surface now and the jungle Val is soon to follow. The hair grass is spreading rapidly now and growing very tall. The large sword is continuing to send out runners and is forming multiple new plants. As seen in our post yesterday the centerpiece red tiger lotus has doubled in size! This tank grows more and more each day so who knows how it will look next week, we can't wait to see!

The Red Tiger Lotus in our planted tank is growing so fast! While all the plants in this tank are showing amazing growth this lotus is the most stunning. The lotus is the center piece of the tank and has nearly doubled in size! We cannot wait to see how this tank looks when it's fully filled out. aquarist
