We are elated to share the addition of Dr. Virginia Logue, an equine internal medicine specialist, to the FEA team! This is a major milestone for Fairfield Equine and an important step forward in the care we provide to our patients and clients. Dr. Logue’s expertise will enhance our ability to manage complex medical cases, strengthen collaboration across our practice, and improve outcomes for the horses we serve.

Dr. Logue earned her DVM from the University of Minnesota and an MS in Biomedical Sciences from Colorado State University. She completed a rotating internship at Rhinebeck Equine and recently finished her Large Animal Internal Medicine residency at the University of Pennsylvania’s New Bolton Center. Her research on Potomac Horse Fever earned the Resident Research Award at the 2026 ACVIM Forum.

Her clinical interests include equine neurology, gastrointestinal disease, endocrinology, and critical care. Most importantly, she is passionate about delivering thoughtful, compassionate care to patients and clients.

Outside of work, Dr. Logue enjoys hiking, reading, and searching for the perfect scoop of ice cream (we might know a place...). She shares her home with two cats, Clarence and Ted, who keep a close eye on things.

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Jess Edlund will be staying at FEA as an associate veterinarian!

Dr. Edlund grew up immersed in the equestrian world, competing in the big equitation and spending countless years grooming. Her experiences in the show ring fostered an appreciation for the athleticism, partnership, and meticulous care that define the horse-and-rider relationship, ultimately inspiring her career in equine veterinary medicine.

Before veterinary school, Dr. Edlund spent three years working as an equine veterinary technician, gaining invaluable hands-on experience and further developing her passion for patient care. She earned her undergraduate degree from Colby College in Maine before completing her veterinary degree at University College Dublin in 2025.

Following graduation, she completed her internship at Fairfield Equine and is delighted to remain with the practice as an associate veterinarian. Her clinical interests include sports medicine, anesthesia, and comprehensive patient care. She will also be assisting with daytime emergency cases.

Outside of the practice, Jess enjoys playing rugby, attending stand-up comedy, and caring for her own collection of animals.

We are excited to have TWO Sports Medicine Fellows for the 2026-2027 year. Dr. Shelby Rocereto will split her time between Newtown, CT and Wellington, FL, while Dr. Michaela Gregory will be based in Wellington, FL year-round!

- Pictured on the left, Dr. Rocereto is a 2025 graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Veterinary Medicine and originally hails from the San Francisco Bay Area. She completed her undergraduate studies at Santa Clara University and brings a strong interest in sports medicine, imaging, and ambulatory work. She was a member of the 2026 FEA Intern Class.

In addition to her clinical interests, Dr. Rocereto has served as the Zoetis Student Representative at her school and as the Membership Chair of the university’s AAEP chapter.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Shelby enjoys spending time outdoors with her family—fly fishing, skiing, hiking, riding horses, and relaxing at their cabin. A lifelong equestrian, she has competed in dressage since the age of four and has earned her USDF Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals, as well as a NAJYRC Silver Medal.

When she’s not working with horses, you can find Shelby enjoying live music, exploring new foods and breweries, or cheering on her favorite MLB teams.

- Pictured on the right, Dr. Gregory grew up in Massachusetts competing in eventing, where her passion for horses first began. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science with a specialization in Animal Biology from the University of Florida before receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tufts University in 2025. She recently completed an equine internship at the Equine Medical Center of Ocala.

Dr. Gregory's professional interests include equine sports medicine, lameness evaluation, diagnostic imaging, emergency care, and performance horse medicine. She is passionate about partnering with owners to keep horses healthy, comfortable, and performing at their best.

Outside of work, Dr. Gregory enjoys spending time with her two horses, Hawk and Paloma, and continuing to pursue her love of horses both at home and at work.
