However, its history reaches deep in the Newton community. The hospital was formed by merging two long-time Newton veterinary clinics: Town and County Animal Clinic and All Pets Veterinary Clinic. Catnip contains a natural compound called nepetalactone, which interacts with scent receptors in many cats.

Some cats become playful and energetic, while others roll, rub, purr, or simply relax. The effects usually last about 10–15 minutes before wearing off. Interestingly, not every cat responds to catnip. Sensitivity is inherited, and about one-third of cats don't react to it at all.

If you want to join a dedicated veterinary team who enjoy working together, Newton Animal Hospital may be what you are looking for! This is a full-time position working directly with patient care. One year of past veterinary experience is required. Duties will be determined by individual's skill level.
Pay will be determined by experience (Range $15 - $20/hr).
