Update: Amber Davidson-Carns

Amber has been up to no good and getting in trouble with all of the awesome progress the last few days!! Just kidding!!! 😉😆 pictures below…. The last few days the staff have been trialing her off ecmo, which means they have been clamping her sweep (oxygen) going to the ecmo machine and relying solely on herself to oxygenate her lungs. They’ve been keeping an eye on her blood oxygen levels and her Co2 has been trending down. She was clamped for 24 hours and today they decided to get rid of the ecmo machine! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 She’s still on oxygen but she has made great progress and I’m SO proud of her, beyond words!!!! She’s also finally able to eat!!!! (Full liquid diet) We also were able to get outside and receive some much needed sun and fresh air on Saturday when it was 86 degrees! I’m convinced that all of your thoughts and prayers have made an impact as well as the incredible, talented, amazing staff!!!
