Buck's Dog Training Virginia Train & Transform: All Ages, Sizes, & Breeds

10/22/2026

When you train Great Danes, sometimes the training gets a little… physical. 🤣🐾

Thankfully Shelby survived, Riggs remained completely unbothered, and Megan may never let her live this one down.

Just another day at Buck’s. ❤️

There’s a time to play and a time to work. Pilot knows both. 😂🐾

One minute he and Shelby are rolling around on the floor. The next, he’s showing off the kind of door manners that make everyday life with your dog so much easier.

Training shouldn’t take away your dog’s personality. It should give you the communication and control to enjoy more of it. ❤️

Lowe’s brought the Christmas distractions. Luna brought the manners. 🎄🐾

Holding her sit while surrounded by Rudolph, the Abominable Snowman and enough holiday chaos to test anybody’s focus. 😂

Real-world training means the skills have to work somewhere besides the training room.

Nice job, Luna. ❤️

Apparently today’s distraction was our Head Trainer. 😂

Bobby and Mellon were absolutely crushing Place while Megan practiced on the hoverboard…

The dogs understood the assignment.

Megan almost tested the pavement. 🤣🐾

Dogs: 10/10.
Megan’s balance: still in training.

Shadow came to us for reactivity.

This is turnover day. ❤️🐾

A controlled heel, a dropped leash, and then a down-stay while her handler keeps walking.

Reactivity training isn’t about creating a perfect dog. It’s about building communication, confidence and control that can carry into real life.

This is the work. And this is the payoff.

This one means a little more. ❤️

Dakota originally came to Buck’s for a month of intensive behavior modification because of reactivity toward people.

Today she came back just for a visit.

And this is how she greeted Shelby. 🥹🐾

Training isn’t only about commands. With dogs like Dakota, it’s also about building trust, confidence and a relationship that lasts long after they go home.

Safe to say she remembered her trainer.

A little fall, a lot of personality, and some of the faces that make our days at Buck’s so good. 🍂🐾

From the smallest paws to the biggest smiles—we love getting to know the dog on the other end of every leash. 🧡

Remember Riggs? 😂

Our six-month-old Great Dane came in with a whole lot of puppy, a whole lot of anxiety and absolutely zero brakes.

Just 48 hours later, we’re starting to see him slow down, check in with his handler and understand that walking together is a whole lot better than taking the humans down. 🐾

Is it perfect? Nope.

Is it progress? Absolutely. ❤️

Stay tuned. Riggs is just getting started.

Meet Riggs. 🐾

He’s a six-month-old Great Dane with a whole lot of anxiety, a whole lot of puppy, and absolutely no idea how big he is. 😂

He gets under his owner’s feet, pulls, tangles everyone up and, well… sometimes somebody ends up on the ground.

Riggs is here to learn confidence, boundaries and how to navigate the world without taking the humans down with him. ❤️

Stay tuned for his transformation.
