This is kind of a long video and I apologize for that! It is an infomercial explaining my boarding policies. My daycare attendees already know this information. I’m doing this for the benefit of the calls that are going to increase now that we are on Labor Day weekend for boarding dogs during the fall winter and spring. I am explaining why I no longer offer boarding to Dogs that are not actively in my daycare program.
Anyone who runs a boarding kennel in Maine (or anywhere for that matter) gets pummeled with calls for boarding during this time of year because of the increased needs for Dogs to be boarded for everything from hunting trips to snowmobile trips to the holidays to spring break, etc. It’s a “make hay while the sun shines“ time of year in dog care…and from 2002 until just before Covid really geared up I welcomed those calls just like any other boarding kennel owner. But now I have chosen a different way to run my business.
So this infomercial simply explains decisions I made years ago and that I am still comfortable with today.
