**Found Safe **. 05-31-26 at approximately 8:30 pm. The horse missing from Showaker camping area has still not been located. It was discovered missing at 0600 hrs. on 30 May, Saturday. The horse has a halter and lead rope attached. There haven't been any citings or the horse. Areas of high probability include Fowler Hollow State Park, the Blain and Amberson areas especially 2nd Narrows and Back Hollow Roads. The horse's home pasture is in the Landisburg area. The Showaker is approximately a half mile south of the entrance to Fowler Hollow State Park in western Perry County. If you hike, bike, or like taking drives through the mountain, and would like to help out, heading out to this area would be greatly appreciated. The more traffic we get into this area the better our chances of locating the horse quickly. Maps of the area can be aquired at the district office, and a quantity will be be placed at information kiosiks at Fowler Hollow and Showaker tomorrow morning. Drone operators are welcome. Anyone who flys a drone over the area for the purpose of the search is asked to either send us a message or post their search area and findings here. It is not required but merely helpful for us to manage the search area and direct resources. If you bike or hike a trail or road in the area please do the same. Horseback teams, forestry personnel and ATV search teams have checked much of the area repeatedly over the last 2 days. We will post additional updates as they become available.
