Alpacas of the Crystal Coast As a family we often joke that it all started with
riding lessons. So then we bought another horse which
required a horse trailer to go on trail rides.

Both of my children were grown
and my first grandchild had just been born when I
decided I would like to take horseback riding
lessons. Well, horseback riding lessons turned
into leasing a horse, which turned into buying a
horse, which turned into my husband getting into
riding. Of
course, we needed a new truck to pull the trailer
with. Then after boarding our horses at a stable
for some time, we

decided to purchase property. Then came the house and the barn. We had
more than enough land and barn space for two
horses. So that’s when my sister suggested
alpacas. I did a little research, fell in love, and
here we are!
