Late night park runs have become our little routine over the years 🌙🐾
It’s quiet, peaceful, and gives my dogs a chance to burn off steam and wind down before bed without disrupting anyone else’s time.
If you know me, you know my dogs are never off leash unless I have a bomb-proof recall (Falcon is still leashed here, just dragging). It’s pretty common at this park to get bum rushed or have someone B line straight toward us just because we have dogs.
So when I saw her start running with her dog, I immediately recalled mine to show her, the best way I could, that they wouldn’t bother her and that I had control. I kept them with me until she and her dog were completely out of sight.
No drama. No ego. Just awareness and respect.
Honestly, this is how it should be. Shared space. Mutual respect. Reading the room and giving people space without taking it personally.
Let’s make this the norm.
Do you think more dog owners should practice this kind of park etiquette? 🐕

Mouse, Bunny + Newt get some one on one time with mom during mealtime so they can eat without being bulldozed by their larger siblings. When there’s a big size difference in a litter, giving the smallest pups a private buffet helps make sure everyone gets their fair share and continues gaining weight appropriately.
As for Fish... well, Fish has absolutely no need for a private buffet. 😂 He’s the biggest puppy in the litter by a mile and clearly has no trouble finding his way to the food. While the runts are getting VIP dining service, Fish is over here looking like he owns the restaurant.

✨ Puppy Ear Taping Tutorial ✨

One of the most common questions we get during the teething stage is about ears going “rose” instead of staying “button” so we put together this step by step video showing exactly how we tape puppy ears safely and gently during development. 🐾

A few important things to know:

✔️ This is ONLY done during puppyhood while the ears are developing/teething
✔️ Once adult ears are fully set, taping is no longer needed
✔️ This does NOT change the function of the ear in any way, it is purely cosmetic preference
✔️ Both rose ears and button ears are acceptable in the show ring, though button ears are generally preferred in the breed standard

Every puppy develops differently, and genetics still play a role, but this can help encourage the desired button ear set during that temporary teething phase.

In this video I walk through the process step by step so you can see exactly how I do it at home. If you have questions, feel free to ask in the comments or send us a message I’m always happy to help! 🤍
