🐾 Meet Tinsel – The Gentle Soul Waiting for His Forever Home 🐾

Tinsel is an almost 3-year-old pitty–foxhound mix with a heart as big as his smile. This handsome boy came to Furry Haven Inc. over a year ago as a transfer from Orangeburg, South Carolina, and has been patiently waiting ever since for the perfect family to call his own.

Tinsel is a sweet, sensitive gentleman who takes a little time to warm up, but once he trusts, he’ll show every bit of his goofy, loving personality. Within about three months, his true self shines through — full of affection, loyalty, and charm. He’s the kind of dog who will quietly steal hearts with his soulful eyes and gentle nature.

He enjoys the company of other dogs and plays well with them once properly introduced. However, Tinsel cannot live in a home with cats. He’s also great with kids, though smaller children can make him a bit nervous. Even so, he’s respectful and never bothers the little ones.

Tinsel’s favorite things include snuggling under blankets, curling up close to his humans, and serenading them with his adorable snores — the “songs of his people.” He’s a big fan of toys, especially squeaky ones, and loves a good chew session. A cozy dog bed, a few tasty treats, and a loving family are all he needs to be completely content.

📢 Important Update from Furry Haven Inc.

Due to personal health and family matters, Furry Haven Inc. will be temporarily pausing all new intakes and returns. This short break will allow time to rest, recover, and ensure that the animals already in care continue to receive the best possible attention and love.

During this pause, posts will still be shared to help owners who need assistance rehoming their pets. However, these rehoming efforts will not be through Furry Haven Inc. directly.

While temporarily closed, work will continue behind the scenes on rebranding, expanding foster homes, recruiting volunteers, and improving rescue operations to better serve the community once intake reopens.

This is not a permanent closure — just a brief pause to rebuild stronger than ever.

Sweet Bandit is coming up for adoption soon! He was just neutered today, received his microchip, rabies, vaccines, and is Heartworm Negative!!!

He has basic commands under control, crate and leash trained. Even tho he is a puppy still this little man is such a gentleman!!!
