THANK YOU: That sweet face 🥹🐾
When Roswell firefighters rushed into a burning home tonight, they weren’t just looking for flames.
They were looking for anyone who might still be inside.
That included one very important family member.
Crews found this sweet dog inside the home and carefully carried the pup to safety, then made sure they were okay before reuniting them with their family ❤️
No one was home when the fire started, and thankfully, no one was hurt.
A neighbor spotted smoke and called 911, helping firefighters get there quickly.
But these photos of firefighters with this pup say it all.
They didn’t just rescue this dog.
They stopped to comfort the pup, too!
Thank you, Roswell firefighters, for taking such good care of this sweet furry family member. 🐶❤️

Ace is out of the animal hospital! Ace, a K9 for the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, was shot in the line of duty last week. His injuries were so severe that veterinarians had to amputate a leg, but he pulled through and is back at home. He just visited the office to say hello to the sheriff!

Today we celebrated our coworker at her baby shower. DeAnna is due to have a 4th boy in mid to late August. We are so excited for her and had a great time celebrating her at her church today.

Meet the dog behind the x-ray! 🩻🐕

DeeDee's owner, Taina, shares, "DeeDee has been doing great since her trip to AMC! This happened right before her 13th birthday. One of our cats had thrown up into the litter box and DeeDee, being her usual dog self, ate the vomit - pellets included. All pellets passed on their own, so no surgery was required. It was a freak accident, but we aren't taking any chances. We've since blocked her from the litter box using an old window screen - short enough for cats to hop over, but tall enough to keep little chihuahuas out of trouble!"

Taina's mom and DeeDee's co-owner adds, "There are not words to express the gratitude we have for the great care DeeDee was given. The staff kept a close eye on her, we were well informed of possible outcomes, and the staff kept us notified like clockwork. A happy ending with a wonderful experience."

We're so glad everything worked out for DeeDee! As always, our veterinary ER is here 24/7/365 for pets experiencing an emergency.
