Asha's Farm Sanctuary Compassion for Cows is Universal! Asha's Farm Sanctuary lets the cows tell their story - a very simple one of just wanting to be loved.

Rooted in Apostolic Christian values, we protect majestic cows, preserve biodiversity and serve our community, while encouraging a vegan lifestyle to end suffering.

501(c)(3) Not for Profit

https://linktr.ee/ashasfarmsanctuary Located in the heart of Niagara's orchards and vineyards, Asha's Farm Sanctuary is on 27-acres of cleared and wooded land, with a mission to begin the magic when people meet cows for the first time and see how friendly, emotional and intelligent they are. They tell us with a loving kiss, a warm nudge, and a still look that captures our hearts and changes our minds forever. Asha's Farm Sanctuary provides refuge to rescued cows including a blind cow and some others with special needs. They all live at our sanctuary in peace and surrounded by love. We provide a safe place where people can meet these cows, establishing long lasting emotional relationships. We believe these human-animal connections will allow people to see these sweet, gentle cows as friends and not food, helping them to make the compassionate decision to go vegan. We help to educate the community on standard practices in the beef and dairy industry that are extremely cruel and the sentient nature of cows through our Meet a Cow, Kiss A Cow Day and COW FEST visitation programs that bring in thousands of people including children every year. We are in the final stages of constructing an Educational Center which includes a commercial kitchen, viewing area for an introductory/educational film on standard practices in animal agriculture, a gift shop, an educational area with books and videos, two bathrooms (one handicap accessible) and two outdoor patios where we will hold various events. Asha's Farm Sanctuary's future vision is to be a safe place for people to enjoy and explore nature by providing hiking trails on our 27 acre preserved forest. We hope you visit us soon!

Lou Bear longs for my touch, my hugs, and all of my unconditional love. He’s an emotional, sentient individual with the most basic need of love—just like you and I. Mother Teresa is most famously quoted as saying that “the most terrible poverty is loneliness, and the feeling of being unloved,” reminding us that we simply cannot survive without love. We all need love. The animals need it, the misunderstood need it, and, most of all, right now, Lou Bear needs it.

Community Services for Every1 came out yesterday to give me a much-needed helping hand! It’s been a little over three weeks since my surgery, and I still have to be incredibly careful with any heavy lifting.

But these amazing individuals completely took over and did all that for me—including helping me pass out hay to the animals! 🐮✨

The cows were absolutely ecstatic to see everyone back at the sanctuary. Phoenix was especially thrilled and followed us around absolutely everywhere, with his massive roaring moo!

Thank you so much to this wonderful team for supporting both me and the animals. ❤️Video with all the cows and everyone to come later today! 👇🎥

When Cheyenne was finally introduced to the herd, she danced…

After miraculously recovering from severe septic injuries, Cheyenne grew into a beautiful, strong, and confident Angus cow and danced in the fields.

Cheyenne is forever safe at Asha’s Farm Sanctuary, where she will live out her entire natural life at our refuge.

This precious cow is deeply loved by God, who created her as someone, not something.

Cheyenne’s incredible journey, defying death, reminds us of a profound truth:

no matter what trials, pain, or emotional injuries we face in this life, we can find ultimate peace by putting our faith and trust in God.

This is exactly what Jesus taught us when He said that while we will face trouble in this world, we can take heart because He has already overcome it.

Through Him, our spirits can find healing and restoration.

Jesus reminds us of this truth in His teachings, "I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." — John 16:33

I sincerely hope this post helps us all to put our trust in a higher power, our Creator, my Lord and Savior, when we and the innocent animals face the many injustices in this world.

Cheyenne faced a life-altering ordeal after falling into a pond at a beef farm, injuring her legs severely.

Surrendered to our sanctuary, Tracy rushed her to a hospital three hours away, where doctors delivered grim news she was septic, and her chances of survival were slim.

But Tracy, the sanctuary’s tounder, refused to lose hope.

With unwavering faith, she prayed for Cheyenne and urged the medical staff to do everything they could to save her life.

Cheyenne underwent multiple surgeries and spent months in recovery, yet the septic infection persisted.

Tracy never left her side, believing that divine mercy would guide them through.

Finally, after enduring so much, Cheyenne was released, but her battle was not over.

In the middle of the night, when her temperature spiked, and she showed signs of distress.

Tracy, strengthened by the Holy Spirit, lifted and rushed her back to the hospital.

After another month of treatment, Cheyenne finally returned home for good.

As she grew older, she transformed into a confident and spirited cow, often seeking out Tracy, the one person who had fought for her life.

Let Cheyenne’s miraculous recovery and the love that saved her, inspire us to recognize that God’s love extends to all creatures.

Every life is precious in His eyes and that compassion includes all beings, not just humans.

"I am not a marketing prop." - little Bruce

I would like to provide more information on why we posted about little Bruce and to clear up any misinformation on the fundamental differences between a farm and a sanctuary.

Little Bruce was born and currently lives at Maple Ridge Bison Farm (the Farm). The Farm breeds bison for the sole purpose of profit. This involves bison being torn from their families, sent to a horrific and violent slaughter, and having their bodies torn apart and sold to area restaurants for unnecessary and mindless consumption. The Farm is NOT a sanctuary-type setting; they actively and violently kill bison for profit.

In addition, little Bruce—an emotional, vulnerable, trusting, and sentient individual—is being exploited by both the Farm and the Buffalo Bills organization as a marketing stunt and prop for the sole purpose of generating profit for both institutions.🚨

Asha’s Farm Sanctuary (the Sanctuary) is a true 501(c)(3) animal sanctuary. We do not exploit, breed, shoot, or send any of our animals to a third-party slaughterhouse. We do not sell anything that comes from the animals, such as wool, eggs, feathers, or manure. We never bring any of our animals to offsite events like mobile petting zoos, parks, festivals, or exhibits (the way Bruce is being forced to do). The animals provided refuge at the Sanctuary live out their entire natural lives here and will never be shot or slaughtered. When we open the Sanctuary to the public, the animals are never confined, haltered, or tethered; they remain in their habitat, free to retreat to the privacy of their barns or the fields they live on.

The Sanctuary only learned about little Bruce when we saw footage of him being forced to experience hours of stressful transport, walk through loud crowds with nowhere to retreat, and sit confined in a promotional enclosure to be treated as a marketing prop.

Witnessing many Bills fans comment across social media that the treatment of little Bruce was wrong, the Sanctuary decided to post about him on our official social media pages. Our goal is to create further awareness of the unethical treatment of little Bruce, provide a safe space for compassionate people to vent and express their concerns, and publicly offer Bruce a forever home at our Sanctuary.

We hope the earlier thread is doing just that, and we will continue to make it a safe place for all those that care about little Bruce.

The Hidden Cost of Entertainment: Why Promotional Events Threaten the Life of Bruce the Bison Calf

Ongoing promotional transport can cause severe, dangerous stress for little Bruce, a 5-month-old bison calf. Born this past April, his body is at high risk of not being able to handle repeated stadium visits. Stacking these high-pressure trips can damage his fragile health.

Why Travel Can Harm Bruce:

Weakens immunity: Long rides spike stress hormones.
Pneumonia risk: Travel triggers fatal lung infections.
Weight loss: Trailer balancing drains fat stores.
Gut damage: Anxiety causes severe, dangerous diarrhea.

The Panic of Stadium Crowds:

Sensory overload: Roaring fans terrify young calves.
Trapped instinct: Wild bison naturally flee danger.
No escape: Crowds trigger continuous mental panic.
Zero recovery: Stadium noise prevents needed rest.
