Guess who finally found a name! Thanks to some help from family, we are naming this little guy Bean. The reasoning for this comes from the fact that he jumps everywhere! He jumps up and does a little twist or he jumps like a bunny! So everyone, we would like to introduce Bean! Thank you for all of the name recommendations! ❤️

We are jumping for joy this week because of our new additions! Though the weather has been kind of dreary we wanted to light up your timeline with a cute kid and an awesome quote from Charles Spurgeon.

"It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness."

While we are still waiting to name our sweet Lamancha wether and helping him get adequately adjusted, in the next couple of days we will be going on another adoption in Osmond, NE. We currently have three types of breeds at our ranch, Pygmy, Lamancha, and Fainting. Fainting goats always tend to make people laugh, especially if they have never heard of the breed. Below is a Youtube video giving more information about the breed itself. Check it out and let us know if you own any Fainting goats or what you thought of the video!

Check out this link to an awesome DIY hay feeder for all of your kids! Owning animals is expensive, so we made a few hay feeders similar to the one in the video. A few staples, some chicken wire, a board or two, a few power tools and your set! Check out the video to see how to make one yourself!

Without a properly constructed manger, goats will pull expensive hay and alfalfa out of a feeder and drop more than half of it on the ground. Once they do, t...

It is important that new goats have everything accessible so that they can settle into their new home. Since he is young and not part of the herd quite yet we made a temporary pen with food, water, soft bedding, and something to keep his mind busy (the stumps). We have learned that the little guy LOVES to climb! Goats are known to climb. Do you have goats that climb? What kinds of fun things do you have in your pen for your babies to play with? Let us know!
