I’m Saber, the heart behind Grit & Paw and momma to three amazing little animal lovers who share my passion for caring for all creatures great and small. I’ve always believed in doing things the honest, hard-working way, caring for animals (at your home or mine) and tending to property like they were my own. Whether it’s bottle-feeding barn babies, walking your family pup, or making sure things are kept in order while you’re out of town, I bring the same mix of grit, heart, and trust to every job. I grew up surrounded by animals and open spaces, and there’s nothing I love more than helping others feel at ease knowing their pets and homes are in capable, caring hands. I previously owned The Cape Escape LLC in Enoch UT, where I had the joy of meeting hundreds of pups over a two-year period. Life took a turn and brought me back to my small-town roots, where I’m now proudly adapting to my community’s needs — expanding my services to include farm chores alongside pet and house sitting. Around here, we embrace the chaos of pups — the zoomies, muddy paws, and wagging tails that make life full of joy. I cater to every pet’s unique needs and specialize in high-energy dogs, making sure they get plenty of exercise, playtime, and snuggles along the way.

I may technically be a dog sitter, but nobody said I couldn’t enjoy all the bonus pets that come with the job. 😂🐾

And then there’s Trouble.

He acts like a ferocious lion trapped in a tiny cat body. He fears nothing. He takes his household-security responsibilities VERY seriously and takes no boys allowed to a whole new level! Cue the Smith’s delivery guy who came to the door only to find Trouble planted firmly in the doorway growling at him. I watched a grown man slowly back away from approximately 10 pounds of cat. 💀
Trouble: Threat neutralized.

The best part? This man baby will turn around five minutes later, find the softest blanket in the house, and nurse on it every chance he gets. 😂 He has also recently added unlicensed massage therapist to his résumé. He climbs aboard and starts making biscuits like his mortgage is due, with absolutely zero regard for personal space.

At this point, I’m not sure if I’m taking care of Trouble or if Trouble has decided I belong to him.

He showed up during a time when life felt especially heavy and somehow managed to bring laughter, comfort, and just the right amount of absolute nonsense with him.

He keeps life spicy, keeps us laughing, and for the love of cats… Trouble completely stole my heart. ❤️🐾
