It is with a heavy heart that I share this tragic news of the loss of one of our kids in our Alpacas of Oklahoma youth program. Graysun was a great kid with a lot of enthusiasm working with alpacas. He trained here at our ranch many times and quickly made friends with the other kids. If you would like to assist his family with medical and funeral expenses, you can use this GoFundMe link. My heart goes out to his host of family and friends during this heartbreaking time. RIP Graysun!💔🙏❤️

The future of the alpaca industry starts with the young people showing up today.

Some of today’s youth exhibitors will become breeders, fiber artists, veterinarians, judges, volunteers, educators, or industry leaders. All of them represent something our community needs: a strong future.

The National Alpaca Foundation National Youth Show Fund supports meaningful youth experiences at the AOA National Alpaca Show, including education, leadership development, hands-on activities, competition, mentorship, and connection.

For many youth exhibitors, the National Show is more than a competition. It is where confidence grows, friendships form, skills develop, and a lifelong connection to alpacas begins.

Please join us in investing in the next generation of the alpaca community.
