NorCal Horse Rescue Surrendered Horses to shelters, abandoned, abused, neglected horses. Anyone wanting to come visit the horses can contact us via Facebook for more information.

The horses featured in this group have been saved from auctions, shelters, or other situations
A sister rescue Emerald City Pet Rescue has so graciously helped to save the lives of these horses in danger. We have them featured in several places to increase the amount of people who will see them
and give them a better chance of adoption. They are boarded in a facility and are evaluated, ridden, and trained to make the more adoptable. If they cannot be ridden, they are placed in homes where they can live their lives in peace. We also can use help for the ongoing and expensive care they are receiving. Donations can be made to Emerald City Pet Rescue and specify for which horse you are making a donation for. Thank you for visiting and liking the horses!

Dear motorists and non-horse people! Please don’t pull into the “big gap” in front of a horse trailer. That space isn’t for slow driving, it’s our braking distance. If you cut us off and stop suddenly, we can’t stop in time. Inside the trailer, our horses need us to drive gently, especially around curves, so they can stay balanced. A sudden jerk can cause serious injury or even flip the whole trailer.

Look at this photo: the mare barely has room to steady herself. Her foal stands right beneath her. She knows a misstep could hurt her baby, so she stays as still as she can. I can only help her if I’m allowed to drive with care. Please think twice. Most people don’t mean harm, they just don’t know. So let’s spread this message out and change that.
