Friends of the Shelter Foundation We are a foster-based non-profit dog and cat rescue in central Oklahoma dedicated to helping rural O We're also the official Rottweiler rescue for the state.

Our foster-based rescue (no facility) focuses on saving all breeds of dogs and cats, mixed or purebred, that are in need in Oklahoma rural shelters. All of the animals in our care live in foster homes with families so they can learn basic training and manners. Every pet is spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and kept on monthly flea, tick and heartworm preventative. Many of the pets we rescue are medical cases, and that can get expensive at times but we never turn a pet away if we know a little TLC and Vet care can save its life. Our mission is to save the ones that would never set foot outside the walls of a shelter: those that are sick, injured or overlooked due to breed discrimination, size or color.

They are small and get along with other dogs. They are very friendly and so sweet. We believe they are pug mixes and about 10 mos old.

Echo is also on the smaller side. She is estimated to weigh between 25 and 30 pounds, just slightly smaller than her brother.

Echo has been around children and dogs both and does great!

Echo has been loving spending time in her foster home learning to be the perfect new best friend for you, but she’s ready to start the next part of her journey. After getting dumped on the side of the road, this girl deserves all of the best things that life has to offer!

Echo and her brother both have all age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed / neutered.

While Haze is the more laid back of the two, Echo would be perfect for someone who wants a dog to play with. She has SO much personality that she’s sure to enrich your life as much as you do hers!

Haze and Echo can be adopted out together, or separated into their own family.

Their foster family is located in the OKC area, but is willing to travel within reason to get these guys the BEST new home.

Are you looking for your new best friend? Does that best friend need to be on the smaller size? Then Haze may be exactly what you’re looking for! After being dumped on the side of the road in Newcastle, he is ready to start the rest of his journey with you!

Haze and his sister Echo are still puppies, but have been living in a foster home to get all of the training they need to be the perfect best friend. They have both spent time around children AND other dogs! They have already received age appropriate vaccinations and have been neutered/spayed.

Haze is the calmer of the two, but he still likes to play. His favorite spot will be in your lap cuddling up or taking a nice sun bath.

Haze is estimated to be between 6-10 months old and weighs around 30 pounds.

If you’re interested in adopting the pair, EXCELLENT! However, these two do just fine on their own and will be successful separating into their own families.

Haze and Echo are located in the OKC area, but their foster mom is willing to meet within reason, to find them the perfect forever home.
