Dear Newbury Animal Hospital Clients,
We are delighted to introduce ourselves as the new owners of Newbury Animal Hospital and to become part of a practice that has served this community and its pets for over 30 years. We'd like to thank Dr. Grillo again for the opportunity to continue his legacy of local, independent veterinary medicine and his commitment to providing exceptional care for our patients, our clients, our staff, and this community.
When we first had the opportunity to get to know Newbury Animal Hospital, what impressed us most was what was already here: a dedicated and caring team, a strong culture, and long-standing relationships with generations of clients and their pets. Those qualities are the foundation of a great veterinary hospital, and preserving them is of the utmost importance to us.
At the same time, we believe this is an exciting new chapter for pet parents in our area. We intend to invest significantly in the hospital—adding new medical equipment and technology, expanding our medical capabilities, updating our facilities, and continuing to build and support an outstanding veterinary team, all in service of your pets.
Our ownership team consists of 3 people: Dr. Deb Burba, Dr. Peter Glassman, and Ben Glassman.
Dr. Burba will serve as Newbury Animal Hospital's new Medical Director. She was born and raised in Salem, MA, and earned her DVM from NC State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. She has been caring for dogs and cats on the North Shore for 25 years. She knows the area and its families well and is committed to compassionate, high-quality medicine.
Dr. Glassman spent over 40 years building and leading a large veterinary hospital in Washington, D.C. He will serve as the practice's Veterinary Advisor. Ben Glassman grew up in the family hospital, learning the ins and outs of the veterinary workplace from an early age. He brings a strong business and operational background to our practice.
Together, we believe in building a hospital where excellent medicine, exceptional client service, and a rewarding environment for veterinarians and staff all go hand in hand.
You will see changes and improvements over the coming months, but one thing will not change: the commitment to you and your pets that has defined Newbury Animal Hospital for so many years.
We are grateful for the opportunity to become stewards of this special practice, and we look forward to meeting you, listening to you, and earning your continued trust.
Dr. Deb Burba, Dr. Peter Glassman, and Ben Glassman
