More pets go missing around Independence Day than any other time of year. Fireworks can cause panic, escape attempts, and serious anxiety.

Prepare now:

Happy Take Your Dog to Work Day!

We're lucky enough to work with amazing animals every day, but today we're celebrating the furry coworkers who keep us company.

Summer travel season is here. Is your pet's microchip info up to date?

A microchip only works if your contact information is current. If you've moved, changed your phone number, or adopted a pet with an existing chip, now is the time to update.

Not sure if your pet is chipped? We can check for you!

Heading to the lake, beach, or pool this summer?

Not all dogs are natural swimmers. Keep them safe:

- Use a pet life jacket, especially on boats.
- Never leave pets unattended near water.
- Rinse off chlorine or saltwater after swimming.
- Watch for blue-green algae in ponds and lakes.

Play safe and swim safe!

Summer means more time outside and more exposure to fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes.

Year-round prevention is the easiest way to keep your pet protected. Skipping months or waiting until you see a problem leaves your pet vulnerable.

Today we honor the pets who are no longer with us but remain forever in our hearts.

They may be gone, but the love they gave us stays. The paw prints they left behind are permanent.

If you've loved and lost a pet, we're thinking of you today.

If it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws.

Asphalt can reach 150°F when the air is only 85°F. That's hot enough to cause burns in seconds.

Quick Test: Place the back of your hand on the pavement for 5 seconds. If you can't keep it there, neither can your dog.

Walk early, walk late, or walk on grass!

Happy National Hug Your Cat Day!

(Or, if your cat prefers, a respectful head scratch from a safe distance.)

However your cat likes to be loved, today is all about celebrating them. Drop a photo of your feline friend in the comments!

Summer is officially here and so is the heat.

Pets can overheat quickly, especially flat-faced breeds, senior pets, and those with thick coats. Watch for:

- Heavy panting
- Excessive drooling
- Lethargy and/or weakness
- Vomiting

If you notice these signs, move your pet to a cool area and call us right away.

Senior pets hold a special place in our hearts.

As pets age, their health needs change. More frequent exams and bloodwork help us catch issues early and keep them comfortable.

If your senior pet is due for a check-in, we would love to see them.
