Today was neuter day for THREE of our rescue boys — Man, Loki, and Rusty! 🐶❤️ Between today’s surgeries, Remi’s broken leg, and all the other expenses that come with rescue, our vet bills are adding up FAST!

💕 Can we get a few more $15 donations before midnight to help cover today’s vet bill?

Even $5 makes a difference! Every dollar helps us continue saying YES to the dogs who need us most.

🐾💚 IT’S $15 ON THE 15TH — NEUTER DAY! 💚🐾

Today is a BIG day for Man, Loki, and Rusty! All three boys are getting neutered today! 🐶✂️

And since it’s the 15th, what better time to bring back our $15 on the 15th fundraiser?! 🎉

❤️ Can we get enough of our amazing MAD Rescue GA supporters to donate just $15 each to cover today’s vet bill?

Three neuters in one day definitely add up, but we know what an amazing village we have behind us! 🥹

Every $15 helps, and even if you can’t donate, a simple share means the world to us!

🐾❤️ HUGE SHOUTOUT TO PETSENSE COVINGTON! ❤️🐾

We seriously cannot thank the amazing groomers at Petsense Covington enough for everything they do for MAD Rescue GA!

They have ALWAYS stepped up for our rescue babies, no questions asked! No matter how matted, neglected, or difficult a dog may be, they never hesitate to help. 🥹❤️

Just in the past few weeks, they’ve groomed THREE Yorkies for us who came straight out of animal control in absolutely terrible condition. And WOW, what a difference! 😍✂️

We are so thankful to have a local business that cares so much about rescue animals!

💕 PLEASE support the businesses that support rescue! If your pups need grooming, give Petsense Covington a call!

🐾❤️ SUNDAY FUNDAY WITH MAD RESCUE GA! ❤️🐾

Happy Sunday, MAD Rescue family! ☀️

We’ve had one CRAZY week around here! Between rescuing Remi and discovering his broken leg, welcoming our surprise little orange kitten Curtis, caring for all our other rescue babies, and sorting through adoption applications… there’s never a dull moment! 😂❤️

But today we want to see YOUR babies!

🐶🐱 Let’s fill the comments with pictures of your pets!

Whether they’re MAD Rescue alumni, another rescue, or just your spoiled rotten best friend, we want to see them ALL!

And if you’ve adopted from MAD Rescue GA, we’d especially LOVE an update! 🥹❤️

We spend so much time sharing our rescue babies with you, so today it’s YOUR turn to show off yours!

👇 DROP THOSE PICTURES BELOW! 📸🐾

🐱🧡 SURPRISE! Everyone meet CURTIS! 🧡🐾

So, remember our sweet Remi (formerly 5352)? Well, apparently he came with a little bonus! 😂❤️

When we first contacted Rockdale County Animal Control about Remi, we asked if they could test his temperament around cats. They sent us the MOST adorable video of Remi being held up next to the cutest, fluffiest little orange kitten we’ve ever seen! And Remi? He couldn’t have cared less about the kitten! 😂

Well… fast forward to rescue day. We saw that same little orange fluffball, and y’all know we’re suckers! 🥹

MAD Rescue GA doesn’t typically rescue cats, but knowing Rockdale Animal Control primarily handles dogs, we just couldn’t bring ourselves to leave Remi’s little friend behind.

So… SURPRISE! We rescued TWO babies that day! 🐶🐱❤️

Everyone, meet CURTIS! 🧡

Curtis will be available for adoption once he’s big enough to be neutered and ready for his forever home. But we’re accepting pre-adoption applications NOW!

🐾 Interested in adopting Curtis? Apply here:

We went to save one life and came home with two. That’s just how rescue goes sometimes! 😂❤️

Welcome to MAD Rescue GA, Curtis! 🐱🧡

🐾❤️ 5352 IS NO MORE… EVERYONE MEET REMI! ❤️🐾

First, a HUGE thank you to Diane Jacoby for her incredibly generous donation and for giving our sweet boy his new name! ❤️

Now for the update… REMI IS JUST A BABY! 🥹 The vet estimates he’s only 8–9 MONTHS OLD!

Unfortunately, today’s vet visit brought some heartbreaking news. 💔 Remi’s leg is BROKEN, and he also has a deep wound on that same leg that required 4 staples!

Can you imagine being just a puppy, hopping around on a broken leg with an open wound, sitting in a loud, scary animal shelter? 😭 We can’t help but wonder if his injury is why someone dumped him in the first place.

Despite everything, Remi is the SWEETEST little boy who just wants to give kisses and be loved. ❤️

🩺 Here’s where we stand with his vet bills:

💰 TODAY: $369.80 — Exam, X-rays, sedation, wound care, staples, cast, and e-collar.

💰 IN 2 WEEKS: Approximately $350 MORE — He’ll need to be sedated again, have his staples removed, and be re-casted.

That’s OVER $700 just to get his little leg healing! He’ll still need to be neutered and fully vetted once he’s healed enough.

🙏 CAN YOU HELP REMI? Even $5 makes a difference! We know we’ve asked for a lot lately, but these babies need us, and we can’t turn our backs on them. ❤️

🐾 Remi is NOT available for adoption at this time. We appreciate everyone who has shown interest, but getting him healthy is our first priority!

From being nothing more than animal control ID #5352 to finally having a name, a warm bed, medical care, and people who love him…

Welcome to your new life, REMI! You’ll never be just a number again. 🥹❤️

🐾 A Quick Update from MAD Rescue GA! ❤️

WOW! We currently have 49 adoption applications to go through for our available dogs! 🥹❤️

We promise we aren’t ignoring anyone! Between caring for all the rescue dogs, getting our newest little guy “5352” to the vet, and taking care of our human baby and family, things have been a little hectic around here! 🐶👶

We are working hard to sort through every application and will get back to everyone as soon as we possibly can!

Thank you all SO much for your patience, understanding, and most importantly, for wanting to give our rescue babies loving homes! 🐾❤️

Please make sure your pets have collars WITH a tag or phone number. Plus make sure the microchips are up to date.

You don't have a tag, you can use a sharpie and write the info on the collar or on their belly.

I know it sounds crazy, but so many pets get lost during storms. All it takes is a fallen branch, a flash of lightening with a boom of thunder, or some running water creating a hole under the fence.

If you have a new pet, make sure to use a leash and always try to post a missing or found pet on Nextdoor and petfbi.org. One thing to menthin, a lost pet isn't one that shows up at your house. A lost pet is a pet that you lost. A found pet is one that shows up at your house that someone else lost.

Hurricane Isaias is expected to bring heavy rain, strong winds, and a risk of tornadoes and flash flooding to Georgia from Friday night through Sunday. Now is the time to prepare! Have go-kits in place, fully charged electronics, batteries, food and water, secure outdoor items, and be sure you are able to receive weather alerts!

🚨🐾 5352 IS FREE!!! 🥹❤️ BUT HE’S MISSING SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT… A NAME!

Remember that sweet little boy at Rockdale County Animal Services? The one with the badly injured leg, horribly matted fur, and nothing but an ID number?

WELL, MAD RESCUE GA WENT AND GOT HIM TODAY!!! 🎉❤️

And y’all… he is the SWEETEST little boy! The second he met me, he started covering me in kisses. 🥹 It’s almost like he knew someone had finally come to save him.

And his day just keeps getting better! ❤️

We stopped by our local pet store Petsense Covington to pick up a FREE bag of dog food we won in a raffle Saturday. When they heard we had just rescued this little guy, they immediately offered to bathe and groom him! So right now, he’s getting cleaned up and pampered like he deserves! 🛁🐾 We are so thankful for their kindness!

🩺 Tomorrow at 10 AM, he has his first vet appointment! His injured leg will be examined and X-rayed so we can finally find out what’s wrong and what we need to do to help him.

But first… LET’S GIVE THIS BABY A NAME!!! ❤️

🐾 THE $5 NAME CHALLENGE! 🐾

Drop your favorite boy dog name in the comments! If you’re able, we’d LOVE for you to donate $5 along with your suggestion to help cover his upcoming vet bills! Donations are NOT required to participate. We want everyone to join in!

We’ll narrow down our favorites and let our MAD Rescue family help pick his new name! 🥰

❤️ If you made a pledge toward his rescue, NOW is the time to honor it! We have some big medical expenses ahead of us, and every single dollar makes a difference.

Tonight, this little boy won’t be sleeping in a loud, scary shelter. He’ll be somewhere safe, warm, and loved. His road to recovery may be long, but we’re going to do everything we can to give him the life he deserves. ❤️

He walked out of that shelter as #5352… but he’ll never have to be just a number again. 🥹🐾

Welcome to your new beginning, little man. ❤️

NOW LET’S HEAR THOSE NAMES!!! 👇🐾

10/08/2026

💔 MY NAME IS 5352. 💔

Not Buddy. Not Charlie. Not Max. Just 5352—the number assigned to me at Rockdale County Animal Control.

I’m only a young puppy, but I’m already suffering with a badly injured leg and painfully matted fur. I should be running, playing, and discovering the world—not sitting in a shelter, hurting and waiting for help. 🥺

❤️ MAD Rescue GA has committed to rescuing me! They see beyond my shelter number and believe I deserve medical care, comfort, love, and a future.

My injured leg needs veterinary attention, but we don’t yet know what treatment I’ll need or how much it will cost.

🐾 Please pledge toward my medical care! 🐾

Every $5, $10, $20, or more can help give me the chance I deserve. Please comment your pledge amount below. 👇❤️

I may be #5352 today, but with your help, I can soon have a name, a family, and a future.

Please don’t scroll past me. I’m just a baby, and my whole life is still ahead of me. 💔
