🐾 MAD Rescue GA Frenchie Spay & Neuter Day! 🐾

Today, Dolly, Stan & Taco all headed to the vet to get one step closer to their forever homes! ❤️

Dolly was a medical mess — in heat, with an inguinal hernia, abdominal hernia, and several previous C-sections. 💔

Sweet Stan, who we rescued just two days ago, did AMAZING for his neuter! 🥹 And the best news? Stan and all three babies are HEARTWORM NEGATIVE! 🎉

Today was a BIG and very expensive vet day for our tiny rescue. We know we just asked for help with Stan, and thankfully his surgery should be covered, but we still have today’s vet bill to tackle.

Red is so ready for his new forever home! He LOVES kids, other dogs, loves to play and his tennis ball. All around great family dog.

Who wants the absolute best family dog! If so then Red is the man for you. He may be your basic Georgia brown dog, but he has the sweetest temperament around. We rescued Red from our local animal control after being there for OVER A MONTH! We cannot understand why no one snatched him up and took him home. He is only 20 so the perfect size, not small and fragile and not too big! Red is about 2-3 years old and has been fully vetted neutered, given DHPP, Bordatella, Rabies vaccines, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, dewormed, and given monthly preventions. He has tested great with the dogs here at the rescue, kids, and cats. He really is a good boy and is very ready to be in his forever home. 💔 Everyone, meet poor Stan. 💔

Stan is so confused. 😔

He doesn’t understand why his skin suddenly feels like it’s burning and unbearably itchy. His ears bother him terribly, and the skin around his eyes is clearly causing him discomfort.

And sadly, breathing has never been easy for Stan.

Since birth, his nostrils have been almost completely closed, making something as simple and natural as breathing a struggle for him. Imagine never understanding why you can’t breathe normally. 💔

Then, on top of all of that, Stan found himself in a loud, scary animal shelter surrounded by unfamiliar people and sounds. The only people he had ever known were suddenly gone.

And the saddest part?

It doesn’t appear they even cared enough to get him the medical care he desperately needed. They didn’t treat his skin. They didn’t address his breathing. And when Stan went missing, they didn’t even come looking for him. 💔

Now Stan is sitting at Rockdale County Animal Services, and he is available only to a licensed rescue group.

Thankfully, a rescue is interested in taking Stan and getting him the care he needs. ❤️ But they are going to need help.

Stan’s medical needs are not going to be cheap. He will need treatment for his skin and ears, evaluation and treatment for his severely narrowed nares, and then all of the routine care he needs:

🐾 Neuter
🐾 Heartworm test
🐾 Full vaccinations
🐾 Deworming
🐾 Microchip
🐾 And whatever additional medical treatment his little body needs

And if Stan is heartworm positive, the cost will be even higher.

We’re going to be honest — MAD Rescue GA really needs your help this month. ❤️

The last 37 days have been a whirlwind for us as we’ve been dealing with a baby in the NICU. Thankfully, our little guy is finally HOME! ❤️ While we’ve been focused on him, the rescue has still been working behind the scenes — and the rescue bills don’t stop and I’ve been out of work with him.

While we’ve been busy welcoming our human baby and spending the last month in the NICU (one month on Monday 💙), we’ve fallen a little behind on sharing some of our adoption updates.

Today, we wanted to catch everyone up with some happy endings! 🐾❤️ These sweet pups have all found their forever families, and nothing makes us happier than seeing them go from unwanted or uncertain situations to homes where they are truly loved and cherished.

Although we’ve been a little quieter on social media lately, please know that MAD Rescue GA hasn’t stopped. We’ve continued rescuing dogs behind the scenes while balancing life with baby Wyatt’s NICU journey.

Thank you to everyone who has continued to support us, donate, share our posts, adopt, foster, and cheer us on during this season. We couldn’t do it without you. Now let’s celebrate some very deserving pups and their happy endings! 🏡🐶💚

We’ve been a little quiet because our sweet boy Wyatt decided to make an early entrance and is still in the NICU. While our family has been spending every possible minute with him, we couldn’t turn our backs on two dogs in need at our local animal control.

Now we’re facing the cost of two spays, vaccines, health exams, microchips, heartworm tests, preventatives, deworming, and everything else they need before they can find loving homes.
