One of my favorite parts of home-style dog boarding is getting to know each dog’s little personality. 🐾

Some are independent. Some want to play all day. And some, like this sweet boy, are professional snugglers. 🥹❤️

Kovu isn’t much of a cuddler, so I soak up these moments while I can. Getting to give dogs a comfortable, loving place to relax and feel at home is truly one of the best parts of what I do. 🐶🐾

Meet Ginger and Poppy. 🐾❤️

These two come from the same family, but their personalities are completely different.

Ginger is four months old and lives for one thing… playing. 😂🐶

Then there’s Poppy. He’s a big guy who reminds me a little of Ferdinand. He may look like he could be the toughest one in the room, but he’s actually the gentle, cautious soul who worries he might be in trouble even when someone else is getting corrected. 🥹

Ginger brings the puppy energy.

Poppy was definitely in a playing mood when this picture was taken. He’s a big boy, and at first glance, he looks like he could take over the whole place. 😂

He can be a little wary around new people and will let you know when he’s unsure about someone.

But here’s the funny part…

This big guy is scared of a puppy. 😭😂

Looks can be deceiving. Poppy may be big and intimidating at first glance, but apparently, tiny puppies are where he draws the line.

Big body. Big personality. A little bit of caution. And apparently… a healthy respect for puppies. 🐶❤️

Meet Blanche Dubois. 🐾✨

Her name fits her perfectly.

Blanche is a lady of her own mind. She isn’t particularly interested in socializing with the other dogs and seems much more comfortable keeping to herself. While everyone else may be mingling, Blanche is perfectly content being… Blanche. 💅🐕

She has a little personality, a little attitude, and what I can only describe as some very high standards. The yard was apparently not always her preferred location for certain important matters either. 😭😂

But that’s part of what makes every dog who comes through my home so special. They all have their own personalities, preferences, and little quirks.

And Blanche Dubois definitely knows who she is. ❤️🐾

Meet Trixie 🐾

Trixie came to Lesa’s TLC Pet Services for a day of daycare. Her owner told me she had never really been away from him before and said to let him know if she became too upset or started whining.

Well… Trixie did just fine. 🥹

She found herself a comfy spot, quietly hung out, and followed me around when she felt like it. Her favorite thing seemed to be simply being near someone while having a peaceful place to rest.

Every dog is different, and sometimes a little quiet comfort is exactly what they need. ❤️

Meet Ginger 🐾💛

I realized I’ve never properly introduced Ginger.

She’s four months old, a little clumsy, loves to play, and has all the sweetness you’d expect from a Labrador puppy. 💕

But honestly, she’s been a pretty easy puppy. She came somewhat potty trained and hasn’t been one to chew up everything in sight… which, let’s be honest, is always appreciated. 😂

She’s still very much a puppy, though. Playtime is definitely one of her favorite things.

Some dogs want the couch. Some want the bed. These two apparently decided the yoga mat was the place to be. 😂

I love watching dogs settle into their own little routines here. They get to relax, play, nap, and just be themselves while their people are away.

There’s something about being in a home where you can stretch out, get comfortable, and just be yourself.

No hurry. No stress. Just a cozy spot, a little attention, and somebody making sure you’re taken care of.

Louie has figured out my little dinner trick. 😂🐾

Sometimes a little crumbled freeze-dried food mixed into their regular meal is all it takes to turn “I’m not hungry” into an empty bowl.

And Louie has apparently decided that his meals at Auntie Lesa’s are pretty damn good. ❤️
