Pinewood Valley Dairy Goats is a small herd in Central Ohio that breeds Purebred French Alpines and American Toggenburgs. We try to attend as many shows as we can as well as raise healthy goats.

Who else is ready and planning for their 2026 breeding season?!? Kidding season just ended for me and I’m ready to go again while others are just getting started or in the thick of it!

Here’s my lineup of Alpine junior herdsires!

BJORN is growing nicely and I’m hopeful to use him extensively this fall. PUREBRED and linebred on ROCHESTER, he was chosen to target better front ends and brisket extension, without sacrificing great mammaries which I’m expecting to see out of him. You guessed it! That RR stands for ROSE’S ROCHESTER! Having access to a live cover ROCHESTER son has me pretty eager for breeding season already! I’ve seen MARRAN X HOANBU genetics once already with the beautiful HOANBU RR PASTA PRIMAVERA who I’ve got to show personally for my good friend Holly at a few shows. And let me tell ya, that goat shows herself! She was also BJDIS at NAILE 2025 and let’s just say I’ve seen her as a ff and did not hesitate getting PARADIGM. He also ties in FORGIVEN genetics, being a great-grand son, which will blend nicely down the road in my American project.

I’m extremely excited about the potential I’m seeing from this young AMERICAN buck kid. I love setting him up and can’t help but to admire his strength of bone and length throughout. FORGIVEN genetics have proven to cross well in the American gene pool and this is just another example of that. He has a solid front end, level topline, nice angulation, and is smoothly blended throughout. Plus…. he is one of the sweetest kids from this year’s batch of kids.

Let’s try another one… this time in black!

I have an AMERICAN Alpine buck kid I think could make a handsome herdsire for someone. Dam is purebred, sire is American. He was the biggest of triplets born 3/07/26.

His sire, NOBLE-SPRINGS FREE MALAKAI, is an up and coming buck linebred on BISMARCK. His dam, is a LOUGHLIN’S HRR FORGIVEN daughter with a nice udder this freshening with nice teat placement.

FORGIVEN, a purebred himself, has crossed beautifully with American lines in other herds and I am glad I decided to take a chance with what I’m seeing in these kids. Pictured as well is his Sundgau sister that is being retained.

Don’t forget to take a look at MALAKAI’S dam, MIRANDA, a beautiful NOBLE-SPRINGS RHZR BISMARCK daughter!

I have a nice PUREBRED Alpine buck kid available, out of a RISHONA son, WILLOW RUN AHREN RHETT who is known to put on good fore udders and rear udder height.

His sister is gorgeous and being retained, excited to see how she turns out and I think her brother could do some good in another herd.

Notes on his dam- she is a first freshening 3 year old with some of the best teat placment I’ve seen and milks by hand extremely well! Excited to see her with more capacity with a second freshening and for her to get more of a dairy shape further in this freshening.

Linebred on ROCHESTER, combined with the genetics passed down from WILLOW RUN GB JUAN CARLOS, and mix in the best of the best of PLEASANT GROVE, I hope to get the front ends, smooth top lines, and exceptional mammaries that I’m targeting.
