Officially done grooming in Illinois 😊

This has been an amazing journey over the last 10 years.i have so many customers who stuck thru 2 moves. While I never imagined how well I would do starting out as a single mom just trying to make alittle extra cash this buisness has brought so many great people into our lives. Iv had alot of people ask if im going to continue grooming? Well I have 7 of my own dogs so I dont think ill ever stop lol. But will I have a buisness i do t think so. My heart has been pulled for years to do rescue work. So once we get settled I will be starting my own hospice for senior dogs! 🐕‍🦺 I have always loved doing rescue but hold a deep soft spot for seniors that need a soft landing thats not a shelter setting.
So stay tuned for that journey
But for now my gang is out🐶🐱🐷🐿🐀

Long post bear with me

So today, while grooming, it hit me that I have 1 week left here in Illinois of grooming. And that led me to thinking i need to thank a certain person who sort of pushed me into my own business. And I don't think she knows it. But years ago, she asked me if I would groom her dog. And I said, yes, she said, you know, a small town like this could use a dog groomer and you should really think about doing it! It was that conversation that pushed me to start my own in home grooming business, which I have had now had for years
She is one of the most artistic, honest and humble people I have ever met. I have known her much longer than 9 years. We worked together on the ambulance. She was always supportive to me when I was going through my divorce. Whether that was watching my kids while I had to go to court or just being someone letting me know that there was a light at the end of the tunnel, she doesn't know I'm writing this but this business was what kept me afloat for years as a single mom and it was because she asked me to groom her dog one day.
So I want to say a huge thank you to Cheri Francisco and jack of course. You will never know how much you have impacted my life and not just by dog grooming how you treat my kids, and our talks in the driveway when you pick up jack.
You are an amazing person.
