🐾 Pooch of the Week: Astro 🐾

Always happy to be here, Astro has a calm, gentle presence that makes him a favorite among both the dogs and the staff. He’s the kind of pup who’s perfectly content exploring at his own pace, checking in with his friends, and quietly taking in everything happening around him before settling in for a well-earned cuddle.

One of Astro’s most lovable qualities is that he’s affectionate on his own terms. He’ll let you know exactly when he’s ready for some love, usually with a gentle paw scratching at your leg or by coming over for a few pets. It somehow makes those cuddles feel even more special. And when he’s in the mood, he’ll happily soak up all the attention you have to give.

He’s always respectful of other dogs’ boundaries and has a knack for making even the shyer pups feel comfortable. Whether he’s joining in on playtime or simply observing from the sidelines, Astro fits in wherever he goes.

When he isn’t making new friends, Astro loves sniffing around the yard, lounging in the sunshine, and spending time with his favorite handlers.

What we love most about Astro is his gentle, easygoing personality. He’s incredibly well behaved, endlessly kind, and somehow always seems to know exactly how to brighten everyone’s day. Astro loves his daycare days, but nothing beats seeing his dad at pickup. He bounces up and down with the biggest smile on his face, and it’s one of our favorite daily moments to watch. (It also doesn’t hurt that he looks just like a little Muppet.)

Sweet, goofy, endlessly lovable, and always smiling, Astro makes Pooch a happier place.

🐾 Pooch of the Week: Trevor 🐾

Trevor may not be the loudest dog in the room, but he’s one of the easiest to fall in love with.

A gentle soul through and through, Trevor likes to take things at his own pace. He’s happiest when he has time to sniff around, explore the yard, settle into a cozy bed, or enjoy a peaceful walk in the sunshine.

One of our favorite things about Trevor has been watching him come out of his shell. Every visit, he gets a little braver, a little more playful, and a little more comfortable with both the handlers and the other dogs. Whether he’s giving us a happy tail wag, following the staff around for pets, or surprising everyone with an energetic game of chase, those little moments always make our day.

Trevor has made so many wonderful friends along the way, including Rowan, Sandy, Maple, Pearl, Marlie, Tito, Chase, Sampson, Lulu, Zola, and Tutti. Seeing him bow into play with his tail wagging is always something we celebrate.

He’s also one of the sweetest boys you’ll ever meet. Trevor loves gentle hugs, quiet snuggles, and relaxing close to the people he trusts. His calm, peaceful presence brings such a lovely balance to the pack, and he’s a wonderful reminder that every dog shines in their own way.

What we love most about Trevor is that he reminds us there’s no rush. Every new friendship, every playful zoomie, and every little step outside of his comfort zone feels like a victory, and we’re so proud of how far he’s come.

Sweet, gentle, quietly courageous, and endlessly lovable, Trevor makes Pooch a calmer, kinder place.
