🐾 Pooch of the Week: Banjo 🐾

If you’ve ever met Banjo, you know one thing immediately: this boy loves his people.

Whether he’s greeting his dad like they haven’t seen each other in years, leaning against a handler for extra pets, or attempting to become a 65-pound lap dog, Banjo approaches every interaction with his whole heart. He’s one of those dogs who makes everyone feel special simply because he’s so genuinely excited to be around them.

One of Banjo’s most recognizable features (besides those adorable freckles) is how affectionate he is. He’s the definition of a velcro dog, always happiest when he’s close to his humans and never one to turn down cuddles, attention, or a cozy nap with friends nearby.

Despite being one of our more distinguished gentlemen, Banjo has an impressive amount of energy. He loves getting out for his walks (both of them, thank you very much), exploring every interesting scent along the way, and soaking up sunshine whenever he gets the chance.

Banjo is also one of the sweetest and most easygoing dogs in the pack. He’s wonderful with dogs of all personalities and has a calming presence that other pups naturally gravitate toward. In fact, tiny Penny B felt comfortable enough to sit right on top of him, an honor she reserves for only the gentlest big dogs. He’s also built friendships with plenty of daycare pals over the years, including Copper, Indy, Ivy, George, Buddy, Kai, and many more.

What we love most about Banjo is his combination of sweetness, confidence, and endless affection. Whether he’s making new friends, checking in with every dog in the room, enjoying a sunny walk, or finding the nearest available lap, Banjo brings warmth and kindness wherever he goes.
Freckled, cuddly, endlessly lovable, and one of the sweetest souls in the Pooch family, Banjo makes every day better.

Our favorite little commuter is officially famous. 🐾

Pete’s mile-long journey back to Pooch made headlines in People, and honestly, we can’t say we’re surprised. We’re just glad our determined little guy made it back safely. ❤️

🐾 Pooch of the Week: Rudi 🐾

Some dogs slowly win you over. Rudi somehow manages to do it within about five minutes.
From the moment she walks through the door, Rudi brings an energy that lights up the entire pack. Whether she’s zooming around the yard with Ivy, Grace, Rowan, Kenny, Bodie, or whichever friend has caught her attention that day, she approaches every play session with pure enthusiasm and her signature whirlwind style.

Rudi is the kind of dog who seems to make friends wherever she goes. She has a natural ability to connect with other dogs, whether she’s romping with her besties, welcoming a new pup into the group, or helping a shy dog come out of their shell. Her playful confidence and friendly personality make her a favorite companion for dogs of all different play styles.
One of our favorite things about Rudi is how genuinely excited she is to see everyone. Her greetings have become legendary around here. Full-body wiggles, happy spins, and enough enthusiasm to make every staff member feel like they’ve just returned from a years-long journey. It’s impossible not to smile when Rudi is excited to see you.

She’s also one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. Rudi absolutely loves affection and never turns down the opportunity for pets, cuddles, or quality time with her humans. For a dog with so much playful energy, she has such a loving and gentle side that makes her even more special.

What we love most about Rudi is that she brings her whole heart to everything she does. Whether she’s racing around with her friends, exploring on a walk, greeting every dog who arrives, or soaking up attention from the staff, she approaches each day with excitement, curiosity, and a tail that never seems to stop wagging.

Playful, affectionate, social, endlessly lovable, and one of the wiggliest members of the Pooch family, Rudi makes every day brighter just by being herself.
