I’m writing this with happy tears in my eyes, and I really hope this reaches anyone else who has a dog struggling with severe anxiety or frustration.
When I brought my beloved dog home, my heart broke for him. He was so overwhelmed and frustrated. He wouldn't engage, he paced constantly, and he ignored every single plushie, ball, and bone I bought him. It was like he didn't know how to be a dog. I spent weeks feeling completely helpless watching him just sit there looking sad and stressed out.
One night, I came across an octopus toy with crinkly paper in the legs and a squeaker in the head. I figured the different sounds and textures might stimulate his brain without intimidating him, so I ordered one as a last resort.
Guys, the transformation has been a literal miracle. 😭 The moment I squeezed one of the crinkly legs, his little ears perked up. Because it has 6 long tentacles, I could gently drag it across the floor from a distance until he finally pounced on it. Fast forward a month, and this angry blue octopus is his security blanket. He carries it everywhere, wrestles with it, and his entire personality has blossomed. He is finally a happy, playful dog.
If you have a rescue, or a dog that is just frustrated and shut down, I highly recommend trying a toy like this. It literally changed my dog's life and helped him come out of his shell. I just had to share this win with people who understand! ❤️
