"Daddy didn't want a dog. “It’s too much responsibility,” he said. “It would make the house dirty, it would take too much time and we would end up getting too attached. ”He never had animals as a child and, for him, a dog was just an unnecessary commitment.
But that day everything changed. On our way home from work, we found a little furball shivering next to the trash cans, soaking wet from the rain. She was thin, hungry and looking at us with eyes full of fear, but also of hope. I wanted to take her home immediately, but Dad sighed, shrugged his shoulders and said, ""Just for one night. ”
That night, I made her a box with a blanket and a bowl of hot milk. But instead of sleeping, he sat next to her, talking to her sweetly, caressing her little, trembling body.
The next morning, he said, ""We should take her to the vet to be sure that she's okay. ”
In the evening, he had already bought her a collar. Two days later she was sleeping on her lap. A week later, he called her “my little angel. ”
Today, they're inseparable.
Daddy didn't want a dog. But this dog wanted a dad. And in the end, they chose each other."
