Summer Pool Days can be fun for pets too— and important precautions can help keep them safe! 🐶💦

Never leave pets unsupervised with pool access and never assume every dog is a swimmer. Always watch closely and make sure your pet knows how to find the exit steps. Consider a well-fitted life jacket for puppies, seniors, flat-faced breeds, and less confident swimmers.

Discourage drinking of pool water, rinse pets with fresh water after swimming, and watch for signs of fatigue, coughing, or unusual breathing.

A little planning can make pool time safer — and a lot more fun. 💙🐾

Chris provides warm hospitality to so many others at KSV and in his life with care and attention to detail! We wanted to celebrate his kindness with a special party of his own, and enjoyed celebrating his birthday with a surprise lunch this week.

For all of our Sopranos fans, we affectionately call him ChristoPHA… however, the baker had other ideas and wrote ChristoPHAR instead! 😂 We figure four names in one just means four times the birthday wishes!

Our Super Sisters of the Week are Nellie and Pepa! Nellie is a 6.5 year old Boxer and Pepa is a 2 year old Mix Breed, who are no small bundle for their family to travel with to Murray Hill from the UES. Miles is settling beautifully into his new life in New York City after being rescued as a kitten in Ohio! 🧡🐾

This handsome 10-month-old charmer joined us as a new patient this week, and we look forward to caring for Miles and supporting his family with all of their pets’ wellness and healthcare needs.

This adorable 3-year-old Pomeranian is always a pleasure to care for! Miso visited Dr. Kalvig yesterday for her vaccine appointment and medical recheck.
As we help Miso with a few chronic health matters, we are very happy to partner with her dad to keep her feeling her very best!
