Today, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001—including the brave first responders who ran toward danger to save others, and the countless lives forever changed by that day.

We also honor the four-legged heroes who stood alongside them. Hundreds of specially trained search-and-rescue, police, and therapy dogs worked tirelessly at Ground Zero—searching for survivors, helping recover the fallen, and offering comfort when words could not. Some even found survivors in the rubble. (See slide 2 to see Trackr valiant efforts)

These remarkable dogs provided something equally invaluable: emptional support and connection. They offered a comforting presence to firefighters, police officers, rescue workers, grieving families, and children. A gentle touch, a familiar wag, or simply the quiet companionship of a dog gave people a brief moment of peace in the midst of unimaginable loss.

As a company based in Upstate New York, we are especially mindful that many within our own community are first responders, service members, and families who carry personal memories of September 11—and of loved ones who never came home.

Today, we remember the fallen—human and pups. We honor those who served with extraordinary courage, compassion, and selflessness. And we are grateful for every person and every dog who brought hope, comfort, and healing when our country needed it most.

We remember. We honor. We carry their stories forward.
