When the World Trade Center collapsed on September 11, 2001 our country suffered. As the rest of the world watched the tragic events unfold through their televisions they also watched us become one nation, a stronger nation. The scariest time in history brought out the best in us… as Americans. Over 10,000 emergency rescue workers from all over the United States joined in the efforts to help. Let’s also not forget that more than 300 of those hero’s were dogs. We remember and honor the Hero Dogs of 9/11 along with the countless people who had their lives irrevocably changed by man’s best friend. From search and rescue dogs, to comfort and bomb detection dogs. They went where it was impossible for humans to go. From the many hours of working tirelessly and obediently with their handlers trying to find survivors, along with the remains of victims. To being emotional support for our first responders and survivors. They risked injuries such as burning their paws on hot debris, as well as inhaling smoke from fires that were not fully out. They had motive and drive to save as many people as they could. These dogs couldn’t stop, they wouldn’t stop. So here’s to the hero dogs. To the victims who tragically didn’t make it back home from work to their families. To the first responders who are still here with us, and for those who swore an oath and acted selfless getting as many civilians out of harms way as they threw themselves into it. To the families who will continue to grieve over loved ones gone. We are the bravest. We as a nation will never forget.

Dolf, our most favorite boy. You were a showstopper to everyone and anyone who walked through our doors. A gentle giant, the biggest goofball, THE BEST pupp to have in the shop on a rough day because you gave the best cuddles. Especially going to miss the attitude whining you would give us when drying you. Our hearts are so broken💔. Your second family at Justpawfection will love and miss you so much.
