Our Adoption Procedure
Once you've found the cat of your dreams and wish to begin the adoption process, email our Adoption Manager (adopt@anje

lliclecats.com) or click on the links above to fill out an application online. Once your application is approved, we schedule you to attend a seminar in cat care that lasts about 75 minutes. We invite both experienced and novice alike and are presently offering this as an online group seminar via Zoom or Skype. Then you would sign the adoption papers, pay the adoption fee, and make arrangements for the cat to be moved to your home. We always do a home visit which is both reassuring to the cat when it is being introduced and to the foster who has taken care of the cat. Presently we are doing home visits with FaceTime or Zoom to confirm you have secure windows, no toxic plants and a generally safe environment for a cat. Then we coordinate pick up by the adopter or drop off by the foster, depending on what both parties are comfortable doing. The adoption fee is $150 for one cat under 7 years old, $75 for one cat 7 years and older. This fee includes initial shots, microchip, FIV FeLV test, deworming, and spay/neuter. We believe it is much kinder to adopt kittens with another kitten or cat unless there is already a cat or a very cat-friendly dog in their new household, and for this reason, we generally do not adopt out single kittens.

EMERGENCY FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED ASAP

Rosita has nowhere to go.

After spending nearly a YEAR living alone in a cage, this sweet 11-year-old girl finally thought she was safe. She finally had a home. A warm lap. Love. Comfort. Someone to sleep beside.

For the first time in so long, Rosita could finally relax and feel loved.

But now, through no fault of her own, her foster has to leave unexpectedly and Rosita is once again about to lose her home.

We are devastated for her. After everything she has already endured, we cannot bear the thought of this loving senior girl going back into boarding or another cage. She deserves so much more than that.

Rosita is one of the most affectionate cats you will ever meet. She adores people, happily curls up in your lap, follows you from room to room, and simply wants to be near someone who loves her.

She is calm, gentle, friendly, and so grateful for every bit of attention she gets.

Please, if you are in the NYC area and can foster or adopt Rosita please reach out immediately to [email protected]

If you cannot foster, please share. The right person may see this because of you.

We are heartbroken to share that Lullaby has passed away.

Just days ago, we had so much hope but her condition suddenly declined, and unfortunately, she did not make it.
Lullaby was truly something special. Even while struggling, she never stopped being sweet. She purred, made biscuits, and leaned into every hand that reached for her. She gave nothing but love until her very last moments.
We are devastated. She deserved so much more time. But we are grateful she knew love, comfort, and kindness — even if only for a short while.

🙏 To everyone who donated, shared, and supported her — thank you. You gave her a chance.

💸 We do still have significant hospital bills from her emergency and ICU care.
If you are able to contribute, any amount will truly help as we continue to cover the cost of giving Lullaby every possible chance.
• PayPal: [email protected]
• Venmo: (Charities)

Please keep Lullaby in your hearts.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. 🌈

🚨 URGENT: FOSTER + DONATIONS NEEDED TO SAVE LULLABY 🚨

Meet Lullaby a breathtaking 3-year-old Maine C**n with the sweetest, most affectionate loving spirit.

On April 14th, she was rushed to the emergency hospital struggling to breathe. She remains there now, in oxygen, fighting for her life. Doctors have diagnosed her with Restrictive Cardiomyopathy (RCM) — a rare and severe heart condition with a devastating prognosis of about one year.

And yet… even in the hospital, she purrs. She makes biscuits. She leans into every touch. She is pure love.

SHE URGENTLY NEEDS A FOSTER
Lullaby is terrified of other cats after being bullied and current foster has several. What she needs now is a calm, cat-free home where she will be loved. Dogs are fine as she loves them.

Urgent - Kittens Living in a Garage need a Foster or Adopter in the NYC Area

Right now, two 6-8 week-old kittens are growing up in a cage in a garage… and they deserve so much more. 💔

These babies are incredibly friendly, loving, and easy to handle. They want nothing more than attention, playtime, and a chance to just be kittens. Instead, they’re confined — missing out on the joy, freedom, and socialization they need at this critical age.

They should be chasing toys, exploring, and curling up in a warm home — not stuck behind bars.

We are urgently looking for a foster or Adopter in the New York area who can give these two sweet kittens a safe, loving space — even temporarily.

If you can help, please email: [email protected]

Please SHARE to help us find them a foster.

Happy Tails: Huey Finds His Forever Home

Nothing makes us happier than seeing one of our rescued cats thriving in a loving home. Every adoption creates a new chapter — filled with companionship, laughter, and the little moments that make a house feel like home. Huey’s family shared this beautiful update with us, and it’s the perfect reminder of how much joy a furry friend can bring into your life.

Huey joined our family three months ago and quickly made himself the official greeter, commentator, and companion of the house. He loves to “chat” with us about everything—mealtime, playtime, and whatever might be happening outside the window. One of his favorite hobbies is bird-watching, where he can happily sit and keep an eye on all the action outdoors. When he’s not supervising the birds, he’s busy playing with his toys, or politely requesting pets and attention. He also joins mom for some yoga and dad for some tv time. Huey has filled our home with personality, laughter, and plenty of happy meows, and it truly feels like he was always meant to be part of our family. Thank you for bringing him to safety. We so love him.

Thinking about adding a furry friend to your family? Visit our www.anjelliclecats.com to meet the cats waiting for their own happy tail.

Happy Tails: Linus (fka Ozzy) 💛
Patience can sometimes bring the greatest rewards.

When Linus’ adopter first saw him, she felt it instantly — that spark, that connection. She just knew he was meant to be hers. But as many adopters learn, love doesn’t always unfold overnight.

The first month was anything but easy. Linus cried at night. He barely ate. He hid in places so clever she could hardly find him. There were moments of doubt and worry, and it certainly wasn’t the fairytale beginning she had imagined.

But she chose patience. She chose to give him time. She chose to believe in the bond she felt that very first day.

Slowly, little by little, Linus began to trust. The crying stopped. The hiding became shorter. Curious glances turned into cuddles. And today? She describes him as the sweetest, most adorable boy — without a doubt her cat, her perfect match.

Not every cat steps out of the carrier ready to embrace their new life. Just like people, they need time, reassurance, and space to feel safe. But when adopters and fosters are willing to offer patience and persistence, the reward can be extraordinary.

Linus didn’t just find a home — he found his soulmate. And she found hers too. 🐾💛

Sometimes the best love stories just take a little time. Are you ready or find yours?
