Why do I foster?

If it weren’t for a foster stepping up for June Bug, her life could have ended in a shelter in Texas. I will never forget that kindness and will live my life giving back in any way that I can.

The world of rescue can feel overwhelming, discouraging, heartbreaking and like a continual treading of water with no rest in sight. And yet, it is through the small acts of kindness from ordinary folks that help keep this darkness at bay. We all can make a difference both big and small. Foster, adopt, volunteer, donate, advocate, educate. The possibilities are endless and every act of kindness matters.

I can’t wait for June Bug to fully heal so we can get back to fostering and helping make a tiny difference through this small act of kindness and love.

Follow June Bug’s World for more fostering and tripod dog adventures!

Thank you Muddy Paws Rescue and Dog Gone Seattle for all the work you do and thank you to the countless heroes doing the hard work in rescue.
