Ozzy is as sweet as cats come. He loves belly rubs more than almost anything, and armpit rubs are a close second. He’ll sit still for brushing for what feels like an hour at a time, completely content. When he’s happy, his tail wags gently and he makes a soft cooing sound like a kitten.
He’s a little shy when he first gets somewhere new. But once he settles in and feels safe, he really opens up. He’ll come find you for affection, wander around and explore, and just likes being near his people, whether you’re reading or watching TV. He also has a favorite toy and scratch board.
Ozzy gets especially close to his favorite person once he trusts them, so a quiet home with one or two adults, or a family with an older child would suit him well. We haven’t had the chance to see how he does with other cats yet, so that’s still unknown. He came into foster care after his elderly owner passed away. It’s been an adjustment for him, but he’s handled it well. He eats and drinks normally, uses the litter box without any issues, and hasn’t shown any signs of aggression. He’s just a gentle, affectionate cat looking for a home where he can feel safe again.
