KittyKind is a no-kill cat rescue group that rescues, cares for, and finds loving homes for all ages and types of cats. We pride ourselves on our commitment to caring for and finding the best adoptive homes for those cats that are deemed "special needs," be it because of illness, injury, disability, or age. We take responsibility for each and every life we save and if a cat or kitten is not adopted, they have a home with us for life.

Beautiful Pippa was adopted by a teenager whose family decided they didn’t want a cat! Now 1 year old Pippa is looking for a person who will cherish her and treat her like the queen she is. Pippa, like a lot of cats, is shy at first. She will likely hide and come out at night when everyone is asleep to explore. Once she’s comfortable, she’ll be affectionate and asking for gentle pets and chin scritches. Be patient with this tabby beauty and you’ll be rewarded with love. Pippa doesn’t like other cats and would be best as a single. She’s an active young lady, and loves to play with toy mice. Pippa is FIV and FeLV negative, spayed, and up to date on shots. Violet (gray female) and Charlotte (calico female) are 10 month olds looking for their forever home! They were rescued from a hoarding situation in the Bronx. Shy at first, Violet is extremely gentle, loving and very sweet Russian Blue mix. Charlotte is very gentle, sweet, and friendly. She’s a tiny bit shy at first, but super friendly thereafter. A wonderful, wonderful cat.

Mina loves to explore, and is curious about new things. This 6 year old gal is very playful and likes to chirp while she plays. Mina mostly ignores other cats and keeps to herself, but she can be bossy. She LOVES people, though, and would be a great single cat. She likes to curl up and nap next to her people during quiet times. She’s outgoing, independent, affectionate, and playful.

Mina had a long journey to becoming a pampered housecat! She was part of a managed colony for several years, living as a spayed outdoor cat. When the colony caretaker noticed she wasn’t eating, she reached out to a rescue for help. Poor Mina was full of worms, and she had a few bad teeth! Now worm-free and with sparkly-white teeth, Mina is ready to move in and improve your life!

These kittens from Florida are ready for their NYC life! Riff is a typical orange boy who will greet you at the door. He’s bonded with Lyric (white and black), who is outgoing and gregarious. Tempo is a low-key creamsicle boy who is bonded with Harmony, his calico sister, who is gentle and chatty. All are FIV and FeLV negative and up to date on shots. Hi I’m Mimsy. I am the most delightful little girl ever. I am affectionate, loving, calm, gentle, and looking for my forever home after being abandoned on the street. I love to get pet and I do rollies on the floor when you hit the good spot. I’m easy to fall in love with and can’t wait to find my forever home. I have maintained my amazing personality even after being out on the streets. I like other cats, and can be a single cat! Here’s what my foster person says: Mimsy is a calm and gentle cat. She’s independent, but she also tolerates being picked up. She enjoys being petted and brushed, though she’s not a lap cat yet. She has started sleeping with us in bed almost every night. She doesn’t like closed doors and will meow if she’s left alone in another room. but she’s perfectly fine as long as she can explore the whole house. She’s young, so she’s very playful and funny. She’s very clean, both with herself and with the litter box. She prefers wet food. At first, she ate a bit too quickly, but now she has gotten used to having regular meals and is more relaxed and confident. I had family with children visiting us for the holidays and she was really gentle. She hides when overwhelmed. We’re hoping to get Mimsy adopted right from foster. Cleopatra, aka Leo, is a great cat who likes to sleep close to you and will sit on your lap or next to you. She’ll come when you call her name. And she is affectionate. She does, however, love her own space. She likes to hang out in her cat tree. Leo is a typical cat in many ways: she doesn’t care for strangers, but will warm up if she sees you enough. She doesn’t always likes to be touched and will give you a warning. Respect her boundaries! She’s not a fan of large commotions or people (mainly kids) running around out loud, yelling or crying. Does not like loud children. Per the original owner: “She isn’t a cat for kids and I knew that for years. It was okay because I didn’t have kids and wasn’t planning on it, but life happens and this is where I’m at. I know she will thrive in a loving affectionate adult only home. She likes to play with the laser and feathered strings. She like to be held and scratched under the chin. She is a cat nip girly. And she is beautiful. The most gorgeous green eyes. Please help me find someone who is going to love her dearly. I also sing to her, she’s likes that. She does well with baths and grooming.” 6 year old Leo is cautious but curious about other cats, but we know she would thrive as a beloved single lady in a quiet home. Lilly (tabby) and Orchid (black) are typical playful purring kittens. At 25 weeks old, these sisters are curious and fun loving. Lilly the tabby is a little more outgoing initially. Both enjoy chasing each other and playing with toys. Orchid loves those spiral wire toys while Lilly may favor a catnip plushie. They enjoy coming to cuddle with their people on the couch. Lilly might steal your lap while Orchid lays up against your side. They are a bonded pair and are looking for a new home together!
