Sean Casey Animal Rescue is a very special place. Part Rescue Shelter, part adoption center and part community center. This is no ordinary shelter. It’s not very big and it’s not very fancy, but what Sean Casey Animal Rescue lacks in size and style, is made up for tenfold by the people who work here and the size of the heart that beats within the shelter walls. Sean Casey Animal Rescue is a no kill shelter. Arriving here is the beginning of an animal’s journey to their forever home. Through the efforts of our staff and volunteers we offer care and compassion to each and every animal in our shelter. Hard work, Dedication and Devotion to the animals, and the instinctive understanding that the animals come first.

Hi, I’m Snail! 🩶🤍

I’m a 2-month-old kitten who was found roaming the streets of NYC before making my way to the shelter.

When I first arrived, I was pretty convinced that humans were terrifying. Hissing? Yes. Spitting? Also yes. Trusting people? Absolutely not.

Since then, I’ve made a lot of progress.

I’m still a little cautious around new people, but I’ve learned that gentle humans can actually be pretty nice. I’ll tolerate pets as long as you approach me slowly and respectfully.

I absolutely love other cats and would be thrilled to have a confident feline friend in my future home to help show me the ropes.

I also had ear mites when I arrived, but those have been treated. I’m still a little skinny and could definitely use some extra snacks while I continue growing into a handsome young gentleman.

With a little patience, I think I’m going to blossom into a wonderful companion. 🐾✨

Novah has officially found her forever home. ❤️🐾

Some dogs leave an impression that you just can’t shake.

Novah’s new family first came to meet her, then came back again. And again. The more time they spent with her, the more they realized they couldn’t stop thinking about her.

And honestly, we understand.

This incredible girl has overcome more than most dogs ever should have to. After surviving on her own, raising her puppies on the streets, recovering from old injuries, and completing heartworm treatment, Novah never stopped moving forward.

Over the months, we watched her learn to trust, gain confidence, and discover what it means to simply be a dog.

Now she’s finally getting everything she’s always deserved: safety, love, patience, and a family who chose her not once, but over and over again.

We couldn’t be happier for this resilient, beautiful girl and her new family.

Happy adoption day, Novah. Your new beginning starts now. ❤️

ATTENTION: Frontline has received a portrait.

Unfortunately for him, it perfectly captures what we’ve all been trying to tell everyone:

He’s actually a really nice guy.

When Frontline first arrived, he worked very hard to convince people that he was a rugged former street cat who needed to maintain a certain image.

These days, however, he’s been getting friendlier and friendlier, which has made maintaining that reputation significantly more difficult.

The evidence against him includes:
• Accepting attention
• Being generally handsome
• Relaxing on blankets
• Sleeping in ridiculous positions
• Looking exactly like this portrait

A huge thank you to the wonderful artist who created this beautiful drawing of Frontline. We absolutely love it.

Now all Frontline needs is a family of his own so he can continue his journey from “tough street cat” to “spoiled house cat.”

BatCat has officially found her forever home! 🦇🐱❤️

After growing up in a loving foster home and mastering all the important kitten skills—playing, climbing, napping, and being adorable—BatCat has officially flown off to her forever family.

And what a family it is.

BatCat’s new dad has loved cats his entire life, and now his children were finally ready for a kitten of their own. The excitement was impossible to miss, and it didn’t take long for everyone to fall completely in love with this tiny tuxedo girl.

Now BatCat gets to spend her days doing what every kitten does best: exploring her new kingdom, playing with her family, and making sure everyone remembers that she is, in fact, the main character.

We’re so excited for BatCat and her new family as they begin this next adventure together.

Happy adoption day, BatCat. ❤️🦇🐾

Pumpkin Jack has officially found her forever home! 🎃❤️🐾

When Pumpkin Jack first arrived at the shelter, she was only a few days old and still had her umbilical cord attached. Thanks to an incredible foster mom, she grew from a tiny baby into the playful, curious, and happy kitten we know today.

Now she’s heading off to start her next chapter with a wonderful family who fell in love with her almost immediately. In fact, it only took one cuddle before they knew she was the kitten for them. ❤️

As an added bonus, Pumpkin Jack will also have a feline sibling waiting for her at home, giving her a built-in friend to play, wrestle, and share sunny windowsills with.

We’re so excited for this sweet girl and can’t wait for all the adventures ahead.

Happy adoption day, Pumpkin Jack. Your future is looking very bright indeed. ❤️🎃🐾

Hi, I’m Socks!🧦🐾

I’m a 3-month-old black-and-white kitten with a face full of innocence and a head full of questionable ideas.

I spend my days doing important kitten things like running at top speed for no apparent reason, climbing things I probably shouldn’t, and testing whether objects on shelves are actually attached to anything.

(Spoiler alert: many of them are not.)

I’m incredibly social and get along wonderfully with other cats, dogs, and humans of all ages. Basically, I’m convinced that everyone I meet is a potential friend.

If you’re looking for a fun-loving kitten with endless energy and an adorable face, I’m ready to report for duty🖤🤍

Penny has officially found her forever home! 👑💕🐾

This tiny 9-pound princess has packed up her royal belongings and headed off to begin her next chapter with a wonderful family of her very own.

And as every proper princess deserves, Penny will also have a loyal bodyguard waiting for her at home in the form of a much larger canine sibling. While we’re not entirely sure the big dog knows he has been assigned this position, Penny seems very confident that the arrangement is already official.

From the moment she arrived, Penny charmed everyone she met with her sweet personality, happy attitude, and ability to fit an incredible amount of love into such a tiny package.

Now she gets to spend her days being adored by her family, supervising household activities, and reminding everyone that being small and being in charge are not mutually exclusive.

Happy adoption day, Penny. Long may you reign. 👑❤️

Jimbo has officially found his forever home! ❤️🐾

This sweet boy may have been a little older than some of the tiny baby kittens around him, but it turns out that wasn’t a problem at all.

His new family fell in love with him and knew he’d be the perfect addition to their home. Even better, waiting for him there is another young cat who was adopted from us about a year and a half ago and is more than ready to have a little brother of his own.

We’re pretty sure the introductions will consist of approximately five minutes of politeness followed by a lifetime of chasing each other through the house at top speed. 😹

Jimbo brought so much personality, playfulness, and charm everywhere he went, and we’re so excited for him to start this next chapter with a family that already adores him.

Happy adoption day, Jimbo. Have fun with your new big brother. ❤️

Boots and Croissant have officially gone home together. ❤️🐾🐾

When Boots and Croissant arrived at the shelter, it was clear that they had been loved. Sometimes life throws circumstances our way that we can’t control, and their previous owner made the difficult decision to do what was best for them during a time of financial hardship.

Through all the changes, these two remained the sweet, affectionate boys we quickly fell in love with.

And now, we’re thrilled to share that not only have they found a wonderful new home — they found one together.

No goodbyes. No wondering where the other went. Just two best friends starting their next chapter side by side.

Looking at this adoption photo, we’re not entirely sure if they realize they’ve already been adopted or if they’re simply busy having a very important orange cat discussion. 🍊😹

Either way, we’re so happy for these boys and their new family.

Happy adoption day, Boots and Croissant. We’re so glad you got to stay together. ❤️

**UPDATE: ADOPTED💕**

Hi, I’m Pumpkin Jack!🎃

When I first arrived at the shelter, I was only a few days old and still had my umbilical cord attached. Thankfully, I was placed with an amazing foster mom who helped raise me from a tiny baby into the strong, healthy kitten I am today.

Now I’m ready for the fun part: finding a forever family!

I’m sweet, playful, and always ready to investigate whatever is happening around me. Life got off to a rocky start, but I think my future looks pretty bright🐾✨
