Stopping Excessive Barking:
Identify the Trigger: Determine if the barking is due to boredom, alert/guarding instincts, fear, or seeking attention.

Teach the "Quiet" Command: Allow 1โ€“2 barks, then hold a high-value treat near their nose. Once they stop barking to smell the treat, say "Quiet" in a calm voice, wait 2 seconds, and reward them.

Avoid Yelling: Shouting back sounds like barking to a dog, which increases their excitement level.

Increase Mental Stimulation: Provide interactive puzzle toys, licking mats, or nose work activities to channel excess energy.

Ignore Attention Barking: Turn your back and withhold eye contact and attention until they go silent, then immediately reward the silence.
