Bambi needs a family 🤍

Meet Bambi. 1 year old. 35kg of pure joy wrapped in fur.

She lives with a struggling family near Alba. Five large dogs. Not enough resources.

They love her deeply. But they know she deserves more.

More space. More attention. More adventures.

So they made the hardest decision. They’re letting her go if the right family steps forward.

Bambi gets along with everyone. Kids. Dogs. Even cats.

She’s the kind of dog who walks into a room and makes it brighter.

60cm at the shoulder. Built for long walks and outdoor adventures.

Already spayed. Vaccinated. Ready.

Not waiting for rescue. Waiting for YOU.

Her current family chose love over pride. They’re trusting someone out there will give her the life they can’t.

That takes courage.

Now Bambi needs someone with the same courage to say yes.

She doesn’t need saving. She needs choosing.

An active family. Space to run. Love to give.

That’s all.

One year old. Whole life ahead of her.

Waiting for someone to make her theirs.

Max Update from Belgium 💪

80kg of pure chaos learning to be loved.

Remember Max? Saved from a farm run by gypsies. Left on a chain and not cared for.

Now he’s in Belgium. Meeting new friends. Testing boundaries. Learning what family means.

But watch him now.

Playing like the puppy he never got to be.
Bouncing. Wiggling. Pure joy in an 80kg body.
Strong enough to break anything. Gentle enough to trust again.

His new family isn’t giving up. They see past the size. Past the strength. Past the fear.

They see Max.

This is what rescue actually looks like.
Not instant transformation. Daily patience.
Not perfect behavior. Perfect love.

Every day he chooses to trust a little more. 💕😇

Comment GENTLE GIANT if you’re rooting for Max’s journey 🙏🏻

The supermarket leftovers weren’t trash. They were lifesaving.

Every week, Madalina fills her car. Not with groceries. With hope.

Bags of food that stores would throw away. Food that becomes breakfast for 40+ hungry souls on Romania’s streets.

She knows them all. The old one with the limp. The mother still nursing. The scared one who waits at a distance.

This is what real rescue looks like.

Not just the shelter. The streets. The ones nobody sees.

Your $5 feeds a street dog for a week.

Madalina shows up every week. Rain. Snow. Heat.

Because hunger doesn’t take days off.

30 Lives. 3 Countries. 1 Journey.

Our transport arrived safely. 30 animals made it home.

Switzerland. France. Germany.

30 families waiting. 30 dogs exhausted from the journey. 30 happy endings that almost didn’t happen.

You don’t see the 30+ hour drive. The heat. The border checks. The paperwork that has to be perfect or they don’t cross.

But today? Today you see the result.

Dogs stepping onto Swiss soil for the first time.
Cats meeting their families in France.
Tails wagging in Germany.

This is what rescue actually looks like.

Not just pulling them from the streets. Getting them home.

Every animal on that transport was once forgotten. Abandoned. Given up on.

Now they’re someone’s everything.

This is what your $5/month makes possible. The fuel. The documents. The chance to start over.

30 down. 87 still waiting at the shelter.

We tried to catch her years ago. Now she was too old to run.

You know that feeling when everything comes full circle?

We tried years ago. She was too fast. Too scared. Too wild.

Now look at her. Too old to hear us coming. Too tired to escape. No teeth left to defend herself.

It breaks your heart and fills it at the same time.

This little grandma survived YEARS on the streets. Every winter. Every danger. Every day wondering if she’d eat.

And she made it.

Her body shows every battle she fought. Toothless mouth. Deaf ears. Exhausted soul.

But those battles are over now.

We caught her because time caught her first.

No more running. No more hunger. No more sleeping with one eye open.

Just soft food she can actually eat. Warm beds. Gentle hands that won’t hurt her.

She survived long enough to be saved.

This is what your $5/month makes possible. The patience to wait years. The resources to keep trying. The shelter ready when they finally let us help.

This is what prevention actually looks like:
🐕 Locating and safely trapping wild, unsocialized dogs in the field
🩺 Getting her to surgery — spayed, vaccinated, cared for
💗 Releasing her back, healthy, and free from the cycle

It’s not glamorous. It’s hot, it’s slow, it’s frustrating, and sometimes it takes days of patience just to earn a moment of trust. But it’s how real change happens — not through rescuing puppies after they’re born, but by preventing the litters that were never going to survive in the first place.

She’s spayed. She’s safe. And the suffering that would have followed her — ends today. 🙏🏻🥹

This is why our spay/neuter program matters so much. Every dog we catch, every surgery we fund, is fewer puppies born into abandonment. It’s the quiet, unglamorous work — but it’s the work that actually drives change.

Meet Blondie. 🌟

For years, she lived on the streets, braving harsh realities and becoming a mom more times than anyone should ever have to. Every year, she gave birth to around 20 puppies, raising them in unsafe and unforgiving conditions. Life was hard, but Blondie never gave up and neither did the kind souls who worked tirelessly to help her.

At the start of this year, after months of trust-building and daily feedings by our dedicated team, Blondie finally let us bring her to safety at The Dog Rose Shelter. Here, she was spayed a moment that marked her freedom from the endless cycle of street motherhood.

Now, Blondie knows what it means to be cared for, loved, and safe. She has a home, a family, and a future filled with hope. And she will never have to bring up puppies on the streets again. ❤️

Blondie’s story is a testament to the power of compassion and perseverance. Together, we can rewrite the future for so many more dogs like her. 🐾
