The Randall’s Island Park Alliance, Inc. (RIPA), founded in 1992, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works with the City of New York and local communities to provide an innovative and exciting destination through a wide range of sports venues, cultural events and environmental exploration. As the dedicated steward of Randall’s Island Park, the Alliance sustains, maintains, develops and programs the Park to support the wellbeing of all New Yorkers. The Park offers over 330+ acres of parkland, nine miles of non-vehicular pathways, wetlands, an urban farm, a track and field stadium, a 20-court tennis center, over 60 athletic fields, and the Harlem River Event Site. Thanks to everyone who joined us for today's Halloween Boo Bash!🎃

We had the perfect weather to celebrate Halloween in costume! We watched performances, danced, did awesome crafts, learned about bats, got amazing face paint and glitter tattoos, participated in storytime, and so much more. It was the perfect end to a great season! We hope to see you soon at our last few events of 2026.

From late summer to earlier this month, Chef Keesha hosted four Food Demos on our Urban Farm! 🍅🥔🥕 At each event, she created a delicious dish using seasonal ingredients harvested from the farm that morning. She made chickpea salad, vegetarian gumbo, a veggie gyro, tomato and kohlrabi slaws, and winter squash coconut curry. Chef Keesha not only demonstrated how to cook these dishes, but she also handed out recipe cards and answered questions from visitors! We are so sad that our season of abundance on the Urban Farm are coming to an end but want to give a huge shoutout to Chef Keesha for making the most of our produce.

One of our many beautiful gardens here in Randall’s Island Park is the WhIte Garden. Located near the Urban Farm, the White Garden is home to several white colored flowers and foliage. Come visit the White Garden this Saturday for Boo Bash! It will take place from 12-3pm! 🎃

We had such a blast celebrating our volunteers with our annual volunteer brunch this past Sunday!

Our volunteers enjoyed a catered meal from Toast & Roast Astoria and spent the morning and early afternoon making dried flower wreaths.

Major shoutout to Roxy Franco who received the Jane Levenson Volunteer of Excellence Award for dedication to volunteerism and leadership!

This past Saturday, several members of the Randall’s Island Park Alliance Board of Trustees rolled up their sleeves and gave back to the Park with hands-on work at our Urban Farm!

Trustees harvested the last of the season’s tomatoes, cleared weeds from garden beds, and sowed cover crops to prepare for next season.

Our Board members give their time and expertise to supporting the Alliance’s stewardship of Randall’s Island Park and every aspect of our mission. It is especially meaningful when they get to experience the Park firsthand - whether volunteering alongside staff, joining us for a free festival, cheering on their kids’ baseball teams, or stopping by Icahn Stadium to watch a track and field event or soccer match. ​​

Thank you to our Trustees for spending the afternoon with us and for all you do for Randall’s Island Park!
