There are so many dogs in this world that need homes! If you are interested in a adding a dog to your family please check out local shelters. They have some of the most lovable humble dogs that are just so grateful dog just to get food, and warm place to sleep and some loving! Everyone should take extra care of there pets in this heat! They are our children in there own right and should be taken care of just as well as we take care of children!!

⚠️Heat Wave Alert!⚠️

With the temperatures rising, please be aware that all dogs can easily overheat, in particular brachycephalic breeds as listed below!

Warning signs to look for:

🔹Excessive or loud panting
🔹Extreme thirst
🔹Thick saliva
🔹Vomiting
🔹Increased heart rate
🔹Bright red tongue & pale gums

To prevent your dog from over heating, walk your dog during the cooler hours (early morning or evening) & on soft ground rather than pavement to protect their paw pads.

It is also suggested that using frozen ice packs or frozen water to cool your dog down can have the opposite effect, therefore cool water is sufficient.

⚠️Remember⚠️ - dogs don't sweat like humans & have to pant & sweat through their paws to cool down making it much more difficult for them!
