The Iberian lynx (Lynx pardinus) is a medium-sized, critically endangered wild cat endemic to the Iberian Peninsula, characterized by a spotted coat, prominent black ear tufts, and a distinct facial ruff. Roughly half the size of the Eurasian lynx, these solitary, rabbit-dependent predators primarily inhabit Mediterranean scrublands in Spain and Portugal
