INSIDE CENTER FOR VETERINARY CARE: Sunday-Tuesday from 7 am -4 pm
INSIDE READE STREET ANIMAL HOSPITAL: Wednesdays from 7 am - 4 pm

The doctors at Eye Care for Animals are dedicated to providing the finest in veterinary ophthalmology services. Our staff of ophthalmologists and clinical specialists provide the highest level of care, education, and understanding to our clients, their pets, and our referring veterinarians.

Today, as we close our doors for the last time, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to all of you who have entrusted us with the care of your beloved pets. Serving this community has been a true honor, and we are so grateful for every wagging tail, purr, and joyful visit we’ve had.

As this chapter comes to an end, if your pet has ongoing ophthalmology needs, we encourage you to consult with your primary care veterinarian for a referral.

📣 Important Update for Our Eye Care for Animals NYC Family ❤️

With heavy hearts, we want to let you know that our hospital will be closing its doors on Thursday, December 18, at 5 p.m. Due to unforeseen staffing changes, we find ourselves in this difficult position.

🐾 To ensure our patients receive the care they need, we will continue to accept appointments until the closing date. Anyone with an appointment scheduled before 5 p.m. on December 18 will be seen as expected.

We deeply value the trust you’ve placed in us to care for your pets and sincerely apologize for any challenges this change may present to you and your family.

For your pet’s ongoing ophthalmology needs, please consult with your primary care veterinarian for a referral.

The Center for Veterinary Care next door will not be affected by this closure.

If you need medication refills, please call us directly at (917) 905-9259 before December 18.

✨Mental Health Awareness Month✨ to those who suffer from mental health issues, you are seen and heard. A quote I live by is “there’s light at the end of the tunnel” and trust me, sometimes it feels like a really, really long tunnel but, it’s there. We need to end the stigma around mental health and continue to share resources and give a lending hand to those who need it. While this month is to bring awareness, this month is also a celebration to everyone who is continuing to fight for themselves and everyone they love. Our first festival of 2025! The Church Avenue Festival was a success (it even gifted us some rain). Thank you to everyone who showed up and supported us and all of the other attendees. We are late but before this week ends we want to show off our amazing CSR Cynthia ❤️

We want to let you know how much we appreciate you not just during CSR week but throughout the year!

Cynthia joined us when we first opened up back in 2022. She had not worked at an animal hospital before but did have experience dealing with customer care. She decided to make a change and since then she has completely amazed us with her eagerness to continue learning and growing. Our patients and clients absolutely love her for her bubbly and caring personality.

At times when she isn’t busy with all the tasks she carries out, she can be found singing 🎶🎤 in the clinic (to us and patients), getting a laugh out of us 🤭, or cuddling 🐶🐱in house patients. We don’t know what we’d do without her ❤️

This is Leia realizing it’s Pet Owner’s Independence Day. In the first picture, she has completely disassociated and in the second slide, she’s gone mad 😂. Pet owner’s, it’s time to change the roles! Our cat’s partners need to make extra biscuits and our doggy friends need to give us extra cuddles today.

Meet ✨Austin✨ He’s a fourth year vet student visiting us from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿! He chose to shadow Dr. Wong (because we’re cool) to learn more about veterinary ophthalmology. We had tons of fun getting to know you and we’re excited to see the amazing things that you will accomplish. Fun fact! He has an interest in aquatic medicine, he likes to swim and his zodiac sign is a Pisces! (A water sign).

Our clinic kitty has now crossed the rainbow bridge.

Molly left paw prints of love on those who knew her. She made many memories with us all and will be dearly missed 💔
