Not only do we provide the only NO KILL facility in the Newburgh, New York area, but we are also the only source of Humane Law Enforcement in Orange County. Our dedicated staff and team of volunteers protect and defend animals and actively seek loving homes for each and every one of them – homes where they will be cared for and loved for the rest of their lives.ο»Ώ

The Hudson Valley SPCA does NOT receive funds from federal, state or local municipalities. And we are NOT funded by the national organization, the ASPCA. Our work is funded solely by donations from our supporters. When you donate to the Hudson Valley SPCA, you can be sure that your contribution is used wisely. Over 75% of donations go directly to animal care with remaining funds going to support services. The Hudson Valley SPCA is a registered 501 (c) 3 so all of your donations are fully tax deductible. Here's Tango looking cool! 😎

This young Dogo Argentino is just under 3 years old. He'll need a quiet, calm environment to thrive. The ideal home for him would be with a single adult he can bond to. He will need structure and training as a breed that is protective by nature. Because of this, breed experience is preferred.

He's got a lot of love and loyalty to give to the right person (with some work he can open up to other people as well). We've seen him do well with other dogs, but still suggest a meet & greet with any in the home to be sure they get along. 🐢

They're going to be looking for their forever home in a few short weeks...these 2 are bonded and really love playing together....if you have room for these 2 beautiful babies...get your applications in soon! Rebel is a 1.5 year old Spanish Mastiff. He weighs about 150 lbs and stands out when he goes on walks. He's been gentle with all people, including children, and has a very laid back personality. We still recommend a home with older children due to his size. He also does very well on walks!

He will need a meet & greet with other dogs as he can be picky. Experience with guardian breeds is ideal.

πŸ“£ Everyone, meet JACK! He's an 8yr old neutered male. He's a grey & white tuxedo (that's missing his pants! 🀣). This middle aged boy had to be surrendered because he did not "get along" or "play nice" with his previous owners little ones! He is a wonderful, friendly, loving gentleman to adults, but prefers quiet, calm and adult humans only please!

πŸ‘‰ Jack is going to be completely vetted and have his vaccines updated within the next day or two, and will be ready to adopt in about a week! If you want a 17lb "whopper" of a love bug in your life....get your applications in quick! ***( I am told that he likes to sleep in bed with his humans!)

🐾 You can meet Jack at our New Windsor location, but he's not allowed out of his cage until he is updated by the vet. Our visiting/adoption hours are 12-4pm daily...except for Wednesdays.

🀭 *NOTE: He is going to need a controlled portion diet and restricted treats! LOL ☺️ We have to get this boy slimmed down for a long and happy life with you! πŸ’™πŸ’šπŸ’™

πŸŽ‰UPDATE! on the orphaned litter of sick 4 week old kittens. We have all 4 of them in foster care and they are getting better every day!.

πŸ˜πŸ‘€πŸΎ Sammy and Taylor are together with one foster and thriving!! Still getting over their upper respiratory and eye infections, but doing awesome. Their foster Jean sent me this video to share. Look at Taylor's bobtail!! πŸ˜πŸ‘€ we don't know if it's a birth defect or something that happened shortly after birth, but the vet said it's completely fine and she doesn't seem to mind! It makes her even MORE adorable than she already is!!

These 2 are going to be looking for a home together in about 3 weeks....so get your applications in now for pre-approval!

Meet Thelma (left) and Louise (right)! πŸš—πŸ‘­
They are about 2 years old!

Not as likely to go on a crime spree road trip as their namesake, these two young beagles are hoping for a home where they can feel safe. Right now, they're scared. They were surrendered for not being cut out to be hunting dogs. They're more suited to a life of couch cuddles. We know that their personalities will come out once they're in a home. That's where adopters come in! 🏠

These sweet girls like other dogs and just need some patience getting used to people. They are not a bonded pair and can be adopted separately, but they wouldn't be mad about going together if anyone is looking for two! πŸ’š

Check out this amazing donation from Emily! πŸ₯³

For her Girl Scout Silver Award project, she wanted to create goodie bags to send home with our dogs and cats. 🐢😺

She made 18 bags for dogs, 19 bags for cats, and got us a ton of extra supplies as well! Each bag was thoughtfully labeled and packed. Emily's family also adopted from us back in 2023! We love this kind of support from the community. πŸ’š
