Not only do we provide the only NO KILL facility in the Newburgh, New York area, but we are also the only source of Humane Law Enforcement in Orange County. Our dedicated staff and team of volunteers protect and defend animals and actively seek loving homes for each and every one of them – homes where they will be cared for and loved for the rest of their lives.

The Hudson Valley SPCA does NOT receive funds from federal, state or local municipalities. And we are NOT funded by the national organization, the ASPCA. Our work is funded solely by donations from our supporters. When you donate to the Hudson Valley SPCA, you can be sure that your contribution is used wisely. Over 75% of donations go directly to animal care with remaining funds going to support services. The Hudson Valley SPCA is a registered 501 (c) 3 so all of your donations are fully tax deductible. Don't forget our PETS OF THE WEEK-New Windsor edition! First, let me introduce SAMMY! He will NOT last long so stop by, meet him, and get your applications in quick!

Our senior cats are a bonded pair and loveable, affectionate kitties looking for a quiet, caring place to call home together. This pair has been through hell over the last year. Their senior owners were roommates for many years...so they have grown up most of their lives together. Last year Duncan lost his dad unexpectedly, so his roommate kept him. Then Peek-A-Boo's dad passed away about a month ago. They were in the home for a couple of weeks without anyone knowing the owner had passed. 💔

After a welfare check was conducted by the police....we went out and rescued them from the home with the permission of his out of State family. They could not take the cats due to allergies, but asked us if we could find them a home together. Then, we had a wonderful person offer a $300 donation to sponsor the adoption of senior cats....and we thought we would use it for Duncan & Peek-A-Boo! That means if you apply and are approved to adopt them, your adoption fees are covered by this sponsor.

We must stress...they need a calm, reasonably peaceful home with no small children or dogs. They are VERY affectionate once they know you and will make a great addition to your home. Duncan is about 7-8 years old, while Peek-A-Boo is roughly 12-13. They have both been vet checked, vaccinated, and are healthy cats.

He's sweet and a little sassy; he'll talk back to let you know his thoughts. He would do best in a home without younger children and prefers to be the only dog. He's still got a lot of energy, personality, and fluff to spare!

A big update for our big guy, Sheldon! 🥳

He found his forever home! They said he's doing great, and enjoying all the attention from all of my daughter's friends who want to meet him. He's a love bug snuggler with a calm disposition and is an all around sweet boy. 🏠

The second event this Saturday is a vendor market we were invited to: The Heritage Market! 🥳

This event is about culture, community, vendors, and unity. Start the summer with a fun celebration! There will be food, music, activities, and we'll be there with dogs! 🐶
