Taylor Childers has been in the horse industry for nearly 20 years, and has developed into an all-around horsewoman. She has shown in a diverse list of disciplines, including- O/F, Eq, Hunter under saddle, Western Pleasure, Western Riding, Trail, Reining, Showmanship, and Halter. Taylor loves to teach and to be in the show pen, and spent the nearly 4 years working as assistant trainer and assistan

t farm manager at Prince Farm, LLC. Taylor teaches lessons primarily out of Southwind Farm, New Smyrna Beach. Traveling is also an option. Feel free to message or call about pricing at this time. Whew! We are HOME! We spent the last 16 days traveling to and from Fort Worth, Texas, and showing at the APHA World Show...

Whew! We are HOME!

We spent the last 16 days traveling to and from Fort Worth, Texas, and showing at the APHA World Show. 13 horses on the way there and 14 on the way home. 12 exhibitors, 20 parents and helpers, started with 4 dogs and brought home 2 new ones, tons of snacks and bags of ice and we consumed approximately 6193927 Zone teas and energy drinks.

I don’t have all the placings, there were so many! Several World Champions, Reserve World Champions, Bronze Champions. Everyone placed incredibly and had good rides. And more importantly, everyone cheered ringside for each other and had such joy for everyone’s wins and placings!

These shows are full of highs and lows, little to no sleep, poor nutrition, several days of 10,000 steps or more, early mornings, late nights, getting lost in the tunnels, confusing your scooter with someone else’s, remembering your cloud boots, fly spray, hurry up and wait, tears, laughs, shopping, more fly spray, great food, terrible food, DoorDash, going over patterns, equine therapy- Ice bath or cryo, excitement of great progress and sadness over things going wrong. I am so proud of every single rider and all they accomplished on this trip. Our sport is a lot more than just channeling YOUR head game- it’s a dance, a partnership with your horse and being able to trust each other enough to lay down the best ride or pattern. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t. But you always leave with growth and lessons to learn from.

We had another phenomenal year, and we may have had a few tears as we pulled out to go home, but we are ready for next year!
