This is the way I grew up hog hunting. My uncle had an old slow female that would bark on the trail. That was the way we knew where they were going. Only way to keep up was run your ass off! Obviously I was younger and way skinner! My cousins and I made it a contest who could get there first! First one there got the kill!

Back before cell cams… or Any trail cameras for that matter. No cell phones. No gps. No 4 wheelers; And If you did hunt off of a wheeler you were a sissy. Didn’t even think about getting lost. Just plain old fashion show up… walk and find sign and go…Dogs ate what we caught. Well what we didn’t want. Usually boiled up hog heads for them, and they loved it. Somewhere around Sparta, 1995. Rabbit, Jonny, Steve, Scott. Just about every hunt was like this. Stacked up!
