When we first heard the words pancreatic cancer — and later learned it had spread — our world fell apart. I promised Jenna that we would never stop fighting for her, and we kept that promise through every high and low. There were moments when fear crept in, when the waiting felt unbearable… but never once did I lose hope.

And now, because of that hope, I get to say something I never imagined I would be able to say:

Jenna is going to California. 💛✨

This next step is something we’ve prayed for, hoped for, and fought for with everything we have. It’s part of a plan with Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong and Dr. Sender — a team that truly believes in Jenna and is working with us to give her every possible chance. We are beyond grateful that doors are opening that we never imagined would open for our girl.

Dr. Patrick personally called to talk about Jenna, and together, they’ve created a treatment plan designed specifically for her. They submitted what’s called a Single Patient IND — a special request to the FDA asking permission to use an experimental treatment for one specific child. Today, the doctors from California called with the final authorization — the green light we’ve been waiting for.

As of right now, we are hoping to start treatment next Wednesday. We’re just getting all the final details in place, and of course we will keep everyone posted every step of the way.

As we move closer to this next phase, reality is setting in. I’ve had to step away from work to focus fully on Jenna’s care, and we don’t yet know how long we’ll need to stay in California. The truth is, it’s hard — not just emotionally, but financially.

So many of you have already shown up for us in ways I could never repay — through prayers, meals, Venmos, messages, hugs, and love. I’m not someone who easily asks for help, but right now your support is what allows we need to breathe a little easier and stay focused on our girl instead of worrying about travel costs and bills.

If you feel led to help again — in any way — whether it’s prayer, sharing Jenna’s story, or sending a small gift toward our travel and living expenses, please know it truly lifts some of the weight from our shoulders.
