Rugaz Rescue Inc. Rugaz Rescue Inc. Project Golden Years MISSION | Rugaz Rescue Inc is a 2 purpose Rescue Mission. Our second is Project Golden Years All-Breed Hospice home.
(792)

The first is to heal abused, neglected, and abandoned dogs that are scheduled for euthanasia in our local Florida Animal Service facilities with the focus of adoption. We are a Foster/Hospice-Home-Based all-volunteer staffed organization that focuses on “Bully Breed” and “Mastiff” type dogs for RRinc and All Breed for PGY. Goes above and beyond to ensure the mental and physical welfare of the dogs

is first and foremost. We focus on the dogs from the “Time sensitive” Shelter lists but we also work in conjunction with our “Homeless No More” project to keep bully and senior dogs home with their families and out of our shelters. Oftentimes individuals look at the option of surrendering their dog due to emergencies, changes in family structure, behavior, obedience issues, or financial instability. Homeless No More gives families with unruly dogs the proper skills and training to work with and encourage a stronger bond between owner and dog in the hopes of keeping them together forever. Our “Forever Memories” program offer’s financial assistance to senior dog owners whom are at the end of life care stage.

Rugaz Rescue Inc.'s Adoptable - 🐾 DOBBY & DEBBY 🐾

Micro Chihuahua. Maximum personality. Zero chill.

Meet Dobby & Debby, two itty-bitty Chihuahua puppies weighing in at a whopping 1.5–2 pounds. Yes. We said pounds. These two are basically pocket-sized, palm-fitting, travel-compatible little gremlins with BIG personalities, BIG hearts, little shakes, and absolutely NO plans to let their size stop them from taking on the entire damn world.

🐾 Dobby is your guy if you've been waiting for that tiny best friend who fits in the palm of your hand and comes with a built-in support system. He'll talk you up, hype you up, support the s**t out of you—even when you're absolutely wrong—and have your back through thick and thin.

Of course, realistically, he's probably going to be strapped to your back, riding in your bag, or attached to you somehow because let's face it… if you put this much dog in a 1.5-pound package, losing him is a legitimate possibility. 😂

🐾 Debby, on the other hand, is a pillow princess with opinions.

If your dream dog is one who will have your back from the couch while you watch a good rom-com, Debby is your girl. She'll judge you for interrupting the movie, remind you how dumb you are when necessary, and then immediately decide you're the greatest human alive because you shared your popcorn during the commercials.

She's basically a tiny emotional-support roommate who pays no rent and expects snacks.

🐾🐾Both of these little nuggets are ready to find their forever home's—homes where being tiny isn't a limitation, it's a lifestyle. They're ready for adventures, snuggles, ridiculous amounts of attention, and human's who understand that sometimes the smallest dogs have the BIGGEST damn personalities.

Dobby or Debby?
Pocket-sized. Personality-sized. Ready to take over your life. ❤️

🌈🐾 Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day🐾 🌈

🐾Every urn. Every photograph. Every collar. Every little trinket…

🐾 represents a soul.

A soul who was once on a list. 📃

Too old. Too sick. Too broken. Too unwanted.

For whatever reason, their options had run out.

So they came to Rugaz Rescue Inc.. And somewhere between hello and goodbye…

💞 they became ours, our family.

It doesn't matter if we had them for years, months, weeks…
or sometimes only days.

You don't get to choose how long you get to love them.
You just do.

🌈 And when they leave?

It feels like losing one of our own.
Because it is.

🪷People see hospice rescue and often see the beautiful part.

The warm beds. The full bellies. The happy faces.

What they don't always see is the other side.

💔The empty bed. The silence. The tears. The goodbye.

The moment your hand reaches for them before your brain remembers they're gone.

And sometimes…

the absolute exhaustion of having to pick yourself back up and do it all over again.

⏳Because there is always another soul waiting.

Sometimes days. Hell; Sometimes hours after we say goodbye.

There is never enough time to “be ready.”

🦸🏻‍♀️We're simply needed. So we get back up. We make room. And we save the next one.

Not because we've forgotten the one we lost. Because we haven't.

💞We carry every single one of them with us.

Every name. Every face. Every ridiculous little personality.
Every memory. Every piece of our heart they took with them.

And every one of them gives us another reason to keep going.

Because the next hospice dog deserves the same thing they did:
to know what it feels like to be loved before they leave this world.

That's why we do this. For the ones we've lost.
For the ones sleeping peacefully beyond that rainbow.

And for the ones we haven't met yet.

🌈 We just wish there were visiting hours at the Bridge.

🌈🌈So today, on Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day, tell us their names. Tell us their stories. 🌈🌈

Let us know who you're missing today.

Because they may be gone… but they are never forgotten.

And perhaps that's the greatest gift we can give them.

To keep saying their names.

🖤🐾🌈

You could say we rescue them…
but the truth is, they rescue us right back.

— Rugaz Rescue Inc.
Because we should be fighting for them.

‼️💞⚕️🐾TODAY IS GRAHAM'S DAY. 🐾⚕️💞‼️

Today, our frosted-faced 10-year-old gets the chance to leave one of the most painful chapters of his life behind.

Today, Graham's leg is being amputated.
And we're in the 11th hour.

🥅 Our goal is $1,200 to get Graham through this surgery and the beginning of the long road that comes after.

💸 We've raised $625. We need $575 more.
‼️ That's it.‼️
💸 $575 stands between us and fully funding the care this boy desperately needs.

Because Graham's story isn't ending in that operating room. His road to recovery will still include rehabilitation, hydrotherapy, laser therapy, heartworm treatment, pain management, and all the little things that will help his aging body learn how to live comfortably on three legs.

But today?

Today is the day he gets to start healing from what was done to
him.

💠Heartworm disease.
💠Abandonment.
💠Being hit by a car.
💠A leg broken in two places.
💠And living with that pain while nobody came looking for him.
And somehow...

Graham has never stopped smiling. 🐾💞

He gives us silly little dances. He loves every human who crosses his path. He asks for affection instead of holding a grudge.

He has every reason to hate the world.
But he doesn't.

📚If humans could take even one damn page from Graham's book, imagine what a different world we'd have.

So no—Graham doesn't just need a retirement.

💪🏻He deserves one.

A retirement filled with soft beds, full bellies, pup cups, Yappy Hours, sunshine, silly dances, and absolutely zero concern about the humans who failed him.

🤗 We are asking our village to rally around him TODAY.
We're halfway there.

💸$625 raised. $575 still needed.

⚕️ Please help us close that gap before Graham goes into surgery today.

Let today be the final day Graham fights simply to survive.
Let today be the day he finally gets to start living.

💞🐾DONATE. SHARE. RALLY. 🐾💞

Because Graham has never stopped believing in people.
Let's make damn sure he was right to. 🐾

🎰 Meet "Vegas" — AkA Mr PotatoHead 🥔❤️

Vegas was found hiding alongside parked cars, and unfortunately, it was pretty damn obvious that life had not been kind to this amazingly sweet American Bully.

His body tells a story we wish we didn’t have to read.

A deep wound sits on top of his head. His chest and underarms are covered in wounds from long-term neglect. His eyes are so severely dry and infected that the damage has already caused scarring to his lenses. His ear canals carry years of scarring, along with an active infection that needs attention.

And somehow…

Vegas still wagged his tail at the humans who came to rescue him.
Because apparently this boy looked at everything humans had done to him and decided, “Eh. I’ll give you another chance.” 🥹

His medical team has lovingly dubbed him “Mr. Potatoes” because he is very much a go-with-the-flow kind of guy. And honestly? That attitude is probably one of the things carrying him through this.

Vegas is going to be a slow road.

He is heartworm positive, which adds another layer of complications and means his treatment and recovery are going to take longer. His body needs time. His infections need time. His wounds need time.

But Vegas?

Vegas is choosing life.
He’s choosing wagging tails.
He’s choosing gentle hands.
He’s choosing love.
And he’s choosing to believe that maybe the world can finally be something different.

So now it’s our turn to choose Vegas.

This sweet boy deserves more than surviving beside parked cars. He deserves to heal, to be comfortable, to learn what it feels like to be cared for, and eventually to wake up every morning knowing that his humans are there to make things better—not worse.
We need you to rally around Mr. Potatoes. 🥔❤️

Help us give Vegas the medical care, time and patience his recovery requires. Because after everything this boy has endured, we're damn sure not going to let him down now.

Vegas has already chosen life.
Now let’s show him what life with love looks like. ❤️
